Recommend place to eat!

Near Gatwick

We're stopping overnight at the Ramada Plaza. Thinking we'll probably get there around 2ish. Is there anywhere nearby that'd be good for our evening meal - or is it easier to eat at the hotel or maybe even driving to the airport?

The kids really want to go to eat at Pizza Express at the airport - we've done this the last 2 trips so they feel it's become a family tradition lol It was handy before because we did Virgin's twilight check-in but, fingers crossed, we'll be doing the on-line chek-in this year so we don't HAVE to hit the airport on Wednesday.

I've waffled a bit there haven't I? And such a simple question really

I was wondering the sme thing - only we're staying at the IBIS. We're thinking of doing online check in and twilight check in. I was thinking that way we get in early for our seats and still get to ditch our bags on the evening.

What time do you have to arrive at the airport if you just do online check in?

Where is Pizza Express in the airport? We will have to eat too... sorry to hi jack your message :0(

Angie - we are staying at the Ramada Plaza too, next Friday!


I was going to eat in the restaurant there, having had a swim and then maybe a drinkie poos or two in the bar

Pizza Express is in the South Terminal where all the shops/restaurants are above the check in desks area. Be warned when we we were there it was the last sit down restaurnat to close and this was only around 9:45pm. Any later and you may struggle to find somewhere to eat.

The Ramada Plaza has a lovely restaurant and does brilliant food in the bar. We always eat there!

our plan was to have a swim after the drive down. staying in to eat sounds good too. a nice relaxing evening maybe?!
