I'm too frugal to shell out full price for an UWA lens. Do you have a favorite website that you can trust?

any of the lens rental companies frequently have used merchandise for sale.

Fred Miranda has a buy/sell forum

KEH.com. I believe they are the largest purveyor of used camera equipment. I recently purchased a camera body from them. They tend to under rate the equipment rather than overstate it.

Honestly, I've bought many lenses from ebay and never had a problem. It is a bit cheaper than the more official stores. Of course, I carefully scrutinize the feedback of any seller, and carefully read the description of the lens condition before buying . But I've gotten excellent deals.

Same here. I've bought a couple used lenses on ebay and been very happy with them. I carefully look for someone with a solid record of good feedback, and look for at least a good cover story for why they are selling it. I try not to buy lenses with a reputation for issues on ebay, for fear they are dumping their copy for those very reasons. I probably would not buy a Sigma lens on ebay for that reason (given their reputation for focus issues).

I like ebay because if I'm patient the savings can be pretty substantial. I can usually buy a lens, then sell it again for about what I spent if I so desire.

KEH. They stand behind what they sell better than anyplace else I've bought used from.

I bought a used lens from them...prefect condition.

I've had good luck on Ebay and Fredmiranda.com. I've bought and sold around 20 items on Fredmiranda with great experiences. Just read people's feedback.
