Looking to find a reasonably priced hotel that is nice for my trip to Busch Gardens. I am also a annual passholder.....does anyone know of any discounts. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Being that I always mix my Busch Garden trips with Disney/Sea World/Universal parks and that Orlando is just an hour down the road and has 1000 more hotels that are better and with lower prices I usually end up staying 95% of the time in Orlando.Whenever a hotel by Busch Gardens thread pops up the number one hotel that ends up getting recommended is the Embassy Suites about 2 minutes from the park,it's obviously a very good brand so if money is not an issue this would be the best and closest hotel nearby.Other hotels that I've stayed at nearby are a hotel called the Tampa Grand suites which I think used to be a Doubletree and I think it's a Holiday Inn now,it's been a few years since I stayed there but I remember it being a pretty decent hotel.A little further away I stayed at a Sleep Inn on Fletcher ave just off I-75,breakfast area was a bit small but it's free breakfast and i got it for a good price. There's also a la Quinta and Hyatt Place nearby. There are several other hotels in the area but many of them don't look all that great,if you want more options the airport area isn't all that far away.Like I said I only stay in Tampa when it's necessary like getting out of Howl O Scream at 1am with Orlando having many more cheaper and better options but for $70-$100 you should find a decent place.I have a Platinum pass for the Busch/Sea World parks and while it's possible some of the hotels may have discounts I just don't know, I think you might have to call the hotel you're interested directly to find out.

Thanks for the reply. We live in Orlando, but we are staying late with friends and want a decent place to crash for the night. I will check out the Embassy suites hotel.......thanks for the input.

Keep checking Priceline everyday. I was able to get the Embassy Suites for $40 a night. it only showed up for that price one day and when I checked back the price jumped up to over $150. we just stayed there a couple of days ago and I would not pay over $100 for the room.

The room smelled musty and the customer service was horrible. The shuttle to bush gardens told us they would pick us up in 15 minutes and it finally showed up after 40 minutes. However, the breakfast was great. They have a omelet station and make your own waffles. The rooms were a decent size. Would I stay there again? Only if I got and amazing rate.

Does anyone know of any condos near BG? We are going there this summer also and I have a nice condo with a kitchen in Orlando and was kinda thinking along those same lines for Tampa. We are not interested in driving back and forth every day, especially with gas prices.

Hi.......just for FYI......I am the original poster and I ended up staying at the Hampton Inn Tampa North.....price was 79.63 for a double double....was pleased and had no complaints.
