Does anyone have a recommendation for a good Italian restaurant?

Something similar to Olive Garden or more "American" Italian. My kids like plain spaghetti and meatballs and my husband and I like Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, Lasagna...nothing too out of the ordinary.

Tutto Italia looks like it is getting good reviews but it sounds a little to "authentic" for our taste:)

Also...can you order steak without mushrooms at Le Cellier?

Thanks!

Yes, you can order the steak without mushrooms. You can pretty much order anything any way at WDW.

Mama Melrose is a good suggestion. It's pretty basic, but good, and the atmosphere is nice. Also you can, like with the steak at Le Cellier, ask for very plain, basic spaghetti or fettucini.

Mama Melrose was good. I had the wood grilled chicken (very good) and DH had the spicy italian sausage. He liked it but it wasn't spicy at all.

Tony's is about as Americanized as you can get! My kids loved the spaghetti and meatballs, it was just your basic marina sauce, nothing spicy. We also enjoyed the Lady and the Tramp theming and the fact its right in the Magic Kingdom. Many people complain that its not authentic enough, but if you enjoy Olive Garden, you will enjoy Tony's. We had a great meal there. And reviews lately seem to be a lot better than they used to be.
