While reading through these posts, I see that a lot of you ask for recipes at the restaurants. Can you do that anywhere in WDW?? Do they have recipe cards to hand out or something (I couldn't imagine them coming over to your table, saying "Ok, write this down". LOL. So?? What's the scoop??

WHen we were at Brown Derby they handed us a card with the cobb salad recipe on it. It was shaped like a brown derby.

I asked for the mushroom soup recipe at Artist Point and they brought it on regular paper, as if it had just been printed from a printer in the back.

I would imagine it depends on the restaurant, the recipe requested, and the popularity of that recipe as to how you'll get it.

The only other recipe I've ever requested is the pretzel rolls from the Biergarten. I gave my email address to our waiter who gave it to the chef. He responded to me with a lovely email, but stated that they do not make the dough for those on site. He did give me a list of ingredients and the name of the company that makes them.

Overall, they seem quite willing to give a recipe for something if they can. ::MinnieMo

I too asked for a recipe when I was there. I asked a chef as he was walking by our table. H didn't have anything write on and gave me his card and I wrote the recipe I wanted down and he had someone email it to me before I even got home.
