Hi  Help I need a recipe for potatoe wedges. I have seen pictures and maybe once had a recipe. They are potatoes cut into wedges with melted cheese, baccon bits, and :confused3 .I know what potatoe skins look like, but I would like to keep the inside in. What else would you serve with these if for a meal?

Well, just cook the potatoes until they're firm...or maybe cut them into wedges first? Then top with your toppings and then bake them in the oven until everything is melted. I know that's not a "recipe" but usually when I'm cooking t hings like this I just "wing it" haha...

If they were my potato wedges, they'd have bacon and cheese and I'd serve a side of sour cream or ranch dressing with them. For a meal...maybe add a salad or some chili along with it...mmmm that sounds good!

I haven't made them with cheese & bacon, but I do make potato wedges. Again - no real recipe. I wash, cut wedges, spray with oil & sprinkle spices on, then bake at 350. How long depends on how big/thick they are.

What to sprinkle with...
Mrs Dash's seasonings alone or
I just open the spice cupboard & use what I have: garlic powder, chicken or beef bouillon granules, coriander, cumin, curry, paprika, ginger, turmeric, Parmesan cheese...
In other words, you name it - it goes on! ;)

I'd probably serve the cheese & bacon on the side - or poured over the top before serving. For me, that would be enough with a salad. If you want something else, I agree chili would be good or maybe grilled chicken strips.

Hi.
Another thing you can do is cut the potatoes, brush them with melted butter and roll them in seasoned bread crumbs. You then just bake them for 20 minutes, turn them over, and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes. Then you can serve them with sour cream or whatever else you like on the side.
Not the traditional way, but may be worth trying. :)

THANKS EVERYONE. All those suggestions sound delicious. Well I know now whats for supper on Tuesday night. :thewave:

After washing the potatoes and cutting them into wedges, I put them in a Tupperware bowl with a little olive oil and give them a good shake to coat them. Then I throw in a some grated Parmesan cheese and Montreal steak seasoning, shake some more and bake. For some reason, I always seem to serve these with pork chops.....
