Just plugged in to recharge my batteries. A few minutes later the light started to switch back and forth from red to green continuously. Any ideas why this is happening? Is the recharger broken?

Every brand and model is different with what it could mean. I suggest looking at your manual or calling their tech support. Also, how old are the batteries?

Is this your only set? If so, buy another set and try them. Just FYI, a charger that charges every cell individually is much better than all on one circuit. That can wear the cells out before their time. One year is not so bad, but there are other things to consider such as how often they are used. If they are used and recharged really often, then they will not last as long. Also, if they sit around without being recharged for a few months, they can become unusable. Basically, the problem is usually with the cells and not the charger.
