I have another question for all of you - what song did you have for your recessional? We are going with the Disney Theme for music, the groom and minister will walk to "Someday My Prince Will Come", the bridal party to "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" and I will be walking to "When You Wish Upon A Star", but we can't find one we like for the recessional. The music sheet they sent suggested the them to the Magic Kingdom Electric Light parade but I did not like that. Any suggestions? How about if we decide to do a traditional recessional song, would it go with the three Disney songs in the beginning of the ceremony? Thanks in advance for all your help/input! Dawn

Not sure what type of song you're going for... but the first Disney one that came to my head was 'Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah'

Zip-a-dee doo-dah
Zip-a-dee hey
My, my, my
What a wonderful day!
Plenty of sunshine
Coming my way
Wonderful feeling, it's a wonderful day.

... could be fun!

Zip a Dee Doo Dah!!

Yep! We're using it too!!

Thats what I wanted too...but DH2B isnt too keen....need to work on him to change his mind ;)

I love the electrical parade music. i used it. I honestly don't remember it though.

We used Zip-a-dee-do-dah!! I completely forgot about it until we were walking down the aisle thinking wow what a great song! All my guests laughed and everyone thought it was cute and went with the ceremony

We're using the Medley, which we absolutely LOVE (Electrical Parade, Zip a dee doo dah, Small World, Mickey Mouse March), but I think Zip a dee doo dah by itself would be awesome too!

Thank you again for your input. I am sure I will have more questions as the day approaches. I am going to David's Bridal's this weekend to pick out a gown, I am so excited! Thanks again!

I was thinking of a whole new world - funny thing was when i saw zip a dee doo dah I said to my DH"B "blimey who would play that one - must be a joke" ha ha ha :rotfl:

Maybe I should give it some proper thought... the words do work well...

Don't laugh...but I just wrote to my WP yesterday and requested "It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" from the Carousel of Progress. I found a classical version and not only do I love it but I also think that it is very apropos

You're right the lyrics are appropriate

(here for anyone else who wasn't sure what they were!
There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day
There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
And tomorrow's just a dream away

Man has a dream and that's the start
He follows his dream with mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true for you and me

So there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day
There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Just a dream away)

What does it sound like though??

if you listen to parkhopper radio on live365.com you can probably catch it that way

I'm listening to TGM on 265 so maybe I'll hear it there.

Just heard We go On... is that the song from Illuminations? I quite liked the sound of that one... thinking of something that sounds good with a violin... And we are going to see illuminations in the evening...

We used Once Upon a Dream. Our music selections is what my husband and I argued about the most. He thoguht a wedding at disney world was great, but he didn't want a "disney" wedding, but i really wanted disney music. Our compromise was that we could use disney songs but nothing "too" disney. What that meant was if he knew the song, he didn't want it. So no a whole new world or when you wish upon a star or zip a dee do dah for us!. We had One Song for our prelude, Candle on the Water for the processional, So this is Love for our first dance, and Belle Notte(had to talk him into that one) for our cake cutting. Honestly, except for the first few notes of Candle on the Water, I remember none of it!

My fiance and I finally decided on an upbeat Disney song for our recessional, we chose "Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid. It is upbeat and happy and different.
