reception location

I've noticed that many of you are not having your reception at the GF. Any specific reasons? Are you able to chose where you have the reception with the premium intimate package?

We are having an Initimate Wedding and are getting married @ Seabreeze Point. The reason we did not book the reception @ GF is because we are taking our guest out to dinner after the ceremony. We did not like the idea of having to go back to the GF for cake cutting and such we felt it would be too much running around. However the additional cost also helped us decidehad this been standard or at a cheaper rate than it is now, we may have opted for it. However we just didn't think it would be right for us.

I believe the GF cake cutting reception is only for those who are having an intimate wedding and having their ceremony at the wedding Pavillion. If you have your Intimate wedding ceremony at a different location, you generally have the cake cutting and champagne at that same location as well.

If you have a custom wedding with your ceremony at the WP, you have a ton of other options as to where you would like to hold the reception.

I see your point about the running around!! I have not decided exactly what we are going to do. I like the idea of the pavillion but, I am still wanting to get married on the beach in Perdido Key and then honemoon at Disney. Decisions Decisions!! I think it is a good idea to get married at the pavillion if you want the reception at GF, but to each his own. I mean if you don't have children or elderly people and you want to walk around then I think that should be ok. Good luck to you
