Reception/dinner question

I was wondering if during the reception while everyone is eating the DJ is still playing music? I know in other weddings I have been to they play like elevator music. I'm not really a fan of that and was thinking of asking them to play a few classic Disney love songs during this time. Is that possible? Have they played music during anyone's dinner or do they usually take a break? Thnx for any feedback.

Before we signed our LOA, I specifically asked if DJs take breaks (there was a line in the contract about breaks for musicians) and our consultant said the DJs don't take breaks. I am having ours play all big band and swing during dinner. I think Disney songs would be great for dinner too!

They should do whatever you want. I literally have a list of songs I want played during the time we are eating (all Disney instrumental songs) and I sent the list to the DJ. He had no problem with it.

When did they contact you? I'm a little less than 2 months out and I would like to talk to mine.

I think they'll play whatever you want. Since they are working IN Disney I'd assume they should have a big selection of Disney music.

Mine contacted me about 7 weeks out, even though I was told he wouldn't until 4 weeks.

We usually get contact information 4-8 weeks out, and we will contact couples asap. And yes, us DJs will play whatever you like for the dinner music, no worries!
