Hi Everyone:

I just wanted to know if anyone has had their reception at the Contemporary Resort-Napa Room. I have about forty guests that I am inviting and was wondering if I could have a dance floor with forty guests? I have tentatively booked a room at the Grand Floridian but I am now rethinking my choice. Also, I was wondering about the view from the Napa Room.

Thanks for your help!!!

Hey-

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Napa Room. We were 42 people, so similiar to your event. I will have photos after next weekend- we're visiting DH's parents who have pictures!

We had a wonderful time at Napa- the food, waitstaff, view, and company couldn't be beat. We planned our event around the Wishes fireworks, which was a huge hit. The food was divine. Just a note- everything is served California style... family style. We were a little hesitant at first, but it worked out great. As my EM said, "Hunny...give up now. They won't change for you, me, or Walt Disney himself."

I would highly doubt you would have room to dance in there. The round tables take up a good chunk of the room. Additionally, it would require a DJ to be present, and I think you would really run out of room then! Plus, the restaurant itself may not allow for a DJ to be playing while other guests are trying to enjoy their dinner. We had a great time- and it was a last minute change. I am so thankful that's what to decided on. Everyone has told us about what a wonderful time they had, how great the food was, how much fun the waitstaff was, etc.

The view is incredible! You actually look into the Magic Kingdom. It's quite a way to see Wishes... and you have access to the catwalks or staying in the room.

If you wanted more information or the menu options, please PM me. I could (and have!) go on forever about how much I would recommend California Grill for any type of important event. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

xoxo

In my notes from our first meeting I have written down for the Napa - 30 with dancing, 50 without. I'm not sure what the cost is or what the space requirement is a for a dance floor in the Napa... but you may not necessarily need a dance floor, just a dance area. Your EM should be able to give you more info on this too :)

Thank you for your information and I would LOVE to see the pics of your rehearsal dinner.

We should have some by the end of this coming weekend.

I probably won't get to uploading them until the work week. Sunday night is Extreme Makove Home Edition, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, and bed. :rotfl: There's no breaking that... I even make sure we leave the Midwest so that we're home in time!

Do me a favor and PM me at some point with the request. It will serve as a reminder.

xoxo
