OK I am DIYing my invites. So far included in the invitation I have the invite, a reply card and a reply card for our welcome/rehursel dinner. On the bottom on my invite I put reception to follow but did not put where it was. Most of out guest will be staying on property and we are using the motor coaches for transportation so I didn't think I needed to list it, but then what if some people do just take their own car?

Do I need to list the reception location on the invite?

Do I need to print off a card telling the info for the reception?

Do I need to make a directions card?

The reception is at the Atlantic Dance hall and we are having a dessert party after that do I need to make cards for that as well??

I am going to make welcome bags and hand them out at the welcome party the night before. I was going to include this information in a letter with an itinerary and directions. Would that cover it or well What do you all think?? What did you do?? HELP!!!! I already printed 40 of the 110 invites!

Is everyone staying on property where they would use the motor coaches? That is the first question I would answer. Some of our guests were not staying on property so I gave them a heads up in our newsletter on where to meet up with everyone so they could get on the bus. For the dessert party, we had everyone just meet up with us. My issue was that we had an in-park morning ceremony and then the reception. So everyone HAD to catch the bus. If you want to, you can put directions for each location on one card. I would definately encourage your guests to take the bus so they did not miss a minute of fun!

Yes we are hopeing Most of our guests will be staying on property and using the busses. But we live only an hour and a half away from Disney So some maybe just coming in for the wedding and not staying anywhere at all. it's those people I'm worried about. The bigest issue is we have invited 240 guests and we have no great way to comunicate informationg like this to EVERYONE! :sad1:

So my planner has informed me that Disney has direction cards that we can use in our invitations. Although I have no idea what they look like or if they will even go with the way I have set up my invitation.

Has anyone else used these? What do they look like? measurements? :confused3

I have never seen the direction cards but I do have one suggestion.

I had wanted to make my location of the wedding, reception and desert party a "surprise" - yes they would know it would be at Disney but not exactially where. I posted this on this website and heard back from alot of brides that did not recommend this as with any large group someone is always late or missing. Unless you are willing to be on the cell phone with these late people giving them directions I would suggest giving everyone details before the wedding.

I have also read on these boards where people do not read all the welcoming info we all spend so much time working on. I know it seems like whenever I check into a Disney hotel they give you so much paperwork to look over I do not look over half of it until I am there a few days or on the way home. I guess the safest way would be to let everyone know where they need to be and how to get there. Especially if you live that close I am sure there will be some people that do not say at a Disney resort.

We had our reception at the dance hall. I included information for the reception( not directions) and the dessert party. Check out my planning journal, I think my invites on posted in there.

We had a few guest who did not use the charter buses.

My only concern with this would be that perhaps a lot of people would then choose or think they had to drive themselves and then you paid for coaches for nothing. I would instruct guests who will not be staying at site to meet at one of your room block resorts so they can be picked up by motor coach.
