Does anyone know the way it works now to go to Pleasure Island? I know it used to be covered in our UMP passes or either it was $20 to get in, but then the clubs were free. I read somewhere that all that is changing to no cost to get in, but a cover charge for all the clubs. We would like to do the Comedy Warehouse and maybe a few other clubs. Does this mean we have to pay to go in each one? Any info is appreciated.

From what I understand is that you can walk through PI now without paying a cover charge but you must pay the $$ amount when you go into a club, then you get a wristband of some sort and then you can club hop and just have to show your ID, I assume, and your wristband to show you have already paid.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but that is what I understand on how it works now.

Does that wristband cover all the clubs once you pay in one of them? It seems like it would be way more expensive than paying $20 to go in all of them if you had to pay a cover for everyone you went into. Wonder how much the cover charge is?

The change is that you show or swipe your park pass at each club instead of at the front entrance to Pleasure Island.

If PI is not included in your park pass privileges, you pay once per evening. From time to time you can add five more consecutive nights to your single PI ticket at purchase for five more dollars.

Formerly they gave you your wristband at the front entrance where turnstiles were. Back then if you had entered before 7 PM when the turnstiles were not manned, you had to return to the entrance, go out, and come back in to get a wristband before entering any club.

If you are buying an admission ticket (which means you don't already have a ticket which includes PI admission) you will need to stop at the ticket booths (which are where they've always been) and buy an admission ticket before entering PI if you plan on going to the clubs.

The streets are open. You don't need to buy a ticket unless you want to enter clubs. You can't buy a ticket at the clubs, you must buy them at the ticket booths. If you already have ticket media that include admission to PI (UPH, Park Hopper Plus, PI annual or Premium Annual) you just bring it up to a club for admission; it isn't necessary to stop at the ticket booths..

You will present your ticket at the first club you go into. They'll scan it, check your ID if they need to, and give you a wristband. The last time I was there, once you had a wristband you could use the wristband to get into other clubs and they wouldn't have to scan your ticket again. When they first started this method of entry they'd want to scan your ticket again at any new club you entered, and that would result in long lines at some clubs and cause anger in those who just went outside to smoke.

Thanks for the explanation. I guess I will be paying. We went last year and I bought an Annual Pass, but not a Premium. I had no idea I would be able to go back for Christmas again this year. Last year we only had a few days so I didn't get the Premium, but this year we have 10 days so I guess I'll just be happy to pay!!

A PI annual costs about $50. If you're planning to go to PI for more than 2 nights it might be worth it to look into buying a PI annual.

it might pay for you to upgrade your annual pass to a premium annual pass...you should check into that option...

Beth,
Do you know how this is done and the cost. Is it just the difference in ther regular cost of an AP and a PAP?
