Hi Everyone ! 
My solo vacation was delightful, although not without a few problems. When I checked into POR I had my typed sheet of which room I prefer. I had listed my 1st choice, Magnolia Terrace, top floor.
I also had a 2nd choice, building 14, top floor, my 3rd choice, building 28, top floor, and finally my 4th choice building 15, top floor. I checked in as early as 11 am, and yet they had a problem meeting ANY of my choices.
They finally gave me building 15, top floor. To my disappointment, I found that this room was old and worn out; not yet one of the renovated rooms.
Although I had stayed at POR 4 times while it was still Dixie Landings, I found myself getting lost as I tried to find the bus stop. The problem is that each building looks alike, and they each also look alike from all sides. I finally devised a "system" where I would leave the porch of my building nearest to a certain room number, where I knew that the bus stop was across from.
As it turned out, I wish that I had not chosen top floor because my lower back was driving me crazy, and the stairs made it hurt a bit more.
But still - that did NOT keep me from walking through the parks all day !!
I was disappointed that Boatwright's no longer served a buffet, although the breakfast that I did have was good.
Now comes the second leg of my vacation - The Boardwalk one bedroom Villa. I guess I have really been spoiled with my stay at BWV. Last year was my first year there. I had rented vacation points. Although they had me on the computer OK, they had trouble finding me ANY room. The CM finally gave me a room, ground floor. ( I wanted a higher room because I was alone ). She said the room was ready. When I got to my room, there was towels all on the floor, the maid was running the dishwasher, and there was suds spilling out all over the floor on to the towels. Obviously this room was still being cleaned. The CM searched and searched and finally gave me another room. When I got to THAT room, I found that my key did not work.
I walked ALL THE WAY BACK to registration and found that the CM wrote down the wrong room, for the room that she put on the key ! Meanwhile,
I was getting totally exhausted from walking up and down the long hallways
numerous times ! ( And all with my lower back still hurting )
A different CM made me up a new key, and I went to that room right away.
THAT new room was perfectly fine ! I checked out the room - and then walked over to EPCOT.
