I was wondering if any of you may provide some info on Grand Cayman...

Last time we went we participated in the Atlantis submarine excursion....this time I was wondering if we should either go to the Turtle farm or should we attempt any of the beaches? Any suggestions which would be our better option? Which beach would you recommend?

Thanks in advance
Vivian

We did stingray city tour with DCL. It was wonderful. I loved being out there with all those stingrays. A lot of DISers use captains Marvins and book seperately. I have heard a lot of good things about that too!

How did you like the semi-sub excursion? We are doing that in April.

Our son was 5 at the time. The big thrill of this excursion is travelling in a submarine. Entering the submarine. A little cramped. We saw some fish however not too many. I guess it is you and your luck.

We enjoyed it..would we do it again..no I don't think so. But it is great for a one time thing.

I hope I answered your question. We did enjoy it bottom line. Worth the money.....it may be a little over priced.

Thanks for your post hopelea!

Anyone else been to Grand Cayman lately??

We just returned fromm the Feb 26th Western and had a wonderful time!!!! We did do an excursion in Grand Cayman. My 16 DD, 14 DS, 8 DS were scheduled to do the stingray city reef sail and snorkel at 1230 but it got canceled because of high winds expected in the afternoon. So I was lucky and able to book an earlier excursion--- island tour and stingray city snorkel. The tour was ok.. We toured teh island saw a lot of damage from the hurricane, saw the seven mile beach, went to hell, went to the turtle farm, but the BEST part of it was by far the swim and snorkle with the stingrays!! My kids and I really had a great time and I would highly recommend this! One thing I did not like after the tour though was our taxi driver just dumped us off in a very congested area of people and gave us no direction where to go. He said for $4.00 more he would take us closer. Well it was very confusing because there were several lines forming for several cruise ships for their tenders back to ship. Thank goodness we found a port authority to ask who directed us to the mickey ears! Hope that helped and have a great time !!!
