For all those who have just been returning from Disney this month, how has the weather been. I keep seeing on weatherchannel.com that rain is predicted in Orlando but the reports people have been giving is that it is hot and humid and no rain.

Interested in your feedback. I do so hope that it dosen't rain on my vacation:-(

Even if it does rain it's usually just a short afternoon shower. I got back a couple of weeks ago and the weather was PERFECT, despite a couple of brief showers. It's NOT the rainy season in Florida yet, so it should be mostly sunny and warm to hot this time of year. :)

Rain? HERE? Nahhhhh.....

Sure it rains sometimes, but not like other parts of the country where it can rain for DAYS. That only happens once in a blue moon, and when it does, we all jump for joy 'cuz it cools things off.

Tip: Families with small children tend to disappear from the theme parks during rain - leaving shorter lines! So get wet a little, it won't hurt ya!

Anyhow, rain this time of year is minimal, and maybe only a short afternoon thunderburst, as we like to call them. Some call it a "sun shower" because you can be standing in the sun and still get rained on (late afternoon, when the sun's in the west, the clouds are overhead...you get the picture).

It is, however, hotter than the dickens - so pack accordingly. You're going to sweat ALOT. Especially in the parks where there's all that pavement. I wouldn't go to WDW for the next 3 months unless at gunpoint. But I live here, so that's different.

Look for daytime highs around 90, very high humidity, and mid-60s at night (for the next few days).

HOT. VERY HOT. But we all got air conditioning!

They were calling for rain when we left for our trip. When we got there they were saying no rain. You won't know until you get there. It was hot and humid, 90s with a 40% humidity.

We were there from May 5-12 and it was in the mid 90s everyday.
We usually go in August when the temp is in the high 90s, I thought that it would be much cooler in early May..boy was I wrong!!!!!!!!!

As I left for the airport yesterday at 2pm in Orlando, the car's thermostat registered 98 degrees outside.

It was MISERABLE-HOT.

So glad to be in CT today where it's only supposed to be in the low 70s!!!

I was there last weekend and was amazed at how HOT it was. Very unusual for May. I prefer hot and humid weather, but I would have liked it to be a tad cooler.

Hopefully there is enough rain to keep the massive fires from starting. Is there a problem with that this year yet?

I went down Mon May 5th and it was 44 here in the DC area. When I got there at 11:30AM it was 84:eek: and going up to the mid 90's. I left Sun May 11 and the whole week the lows were around 75 and the high's in the mid 90's. The 50 degree difference made me very miserable. The weather man one morning on a local station said it was like mid July temps. They did not forecast rain at all while I was there.
