Recent visits to Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue?

Yes, children's prices for dining establishments in the parks and in the Disney hotels follow the same rules as for tickets. Ages 3-9 are children, 10 and up are free. Children under 3 eat free at the barbecue, character meals, and I think WoC dining.

I think you mean 10 and up are adults!! It sure would be nice if they were free!!:woohoo: Thanks so much for the info! I think we will give it a go and budget for it!

Does anyone know when they stop doing the BBQ? I think they stop towards the end of the year but I would love to do this again when we are there in November!??!

They have the BBQ year round. I ate there in November. We were pretty chilly that evening, but just bundled up and dug in!!

We were too full to eat dessert, so we came back another evening just to get the chocolate chip cookie bake. It was delicious, and way too much and too rich for just 2, even though we were not full.

I ate there for dinner last summer when I was there last and it was good all the way around. I did a walk up, only waited 15 minutes, and I thought the theming and food was good. My wife is joining us on this trip, she couldn't make it last year, and I look forward to all of us eating there. I'm not a big fan of Disney food normally, but BTRB is pretty damn good.

I am pretty sure they would not allow this. It is considered a character meal with a fixed price for each person at your table whether they eat or not.

Actually, dd and I ate there last week. Well I ate there and dd kept me company, lol. SHe is a very picky eater. They did let me bring her in something else we had purchased in the parks to eat and did not charge me for her.

There are no characters per se (Woody/Jesse), but there is a stage performance that involves singing and attempts at audience participation. I like the food here and would recommend it.

We went for lunch in June 2010, and there was no stage performance at all. I was pretty disappointed, since that was the main reason we scheduled a meal there. The price seemed a bit high to me just for sitting somewhere to munch, and we've eaten all over DL, without me ever feeling unhappy at any other location for any reason. The waiter also seemed incredibly irritated that we would want a seat that was not in the bright sunlight for our reservation (despite the fact that the place was almost completely empty that early in the day.) He seated us far away from all the other diners, who were also under shaded seating.

Just went two weeks ago and ate here (by myself lol) and it was delicious as always. I had never eaten during dinner time, the corn was SOOOOO GOOD!! Here's my plate :)

My boyfriend and I ate there recently and loved it. The fixed price is for all you can eat. They'll bring more if you run out or want more of a specific item.

I recommend the cookie bake for dessert, it's SOOOOOOOOO yummy and will feed an army.
