We were there last week and noticed this as well.
I wonder if it is related to the changes in DAS entrance locations that seemed to occur last week. My older son is developmentally disabled and uses DAS. The DAS "entrance" for Pirates and Peter Pan has always been through the exit. It was that way the first time we rode them last week.
Later in the week, Pirates had a new entrance for DAS by the Tarzan Tree House (those with mobility issues still go through the exit). For Peter Pan, we still got checked in and scanned near the exit, but we were directed to and entered through the gap in the queue. It was kind of like a fast pass. Incidentally, no one was let in the queue behind us for quite a bit of time and the gap was quite large. Also, the cast member working the DAS return area changed, and all those who were behind us in the DAS line entered through the exit (and rode way before us) event though there were no obvious mobility issues. There are always inconsistencies when something new is rolled out.
