Recent SW fares BDL to MCO

$99 each way is the lowest I've seen for Aug/Sept/Oct. We booked Delta (which will now be a NWA flight) back a couple months ago for $170 (including tax and fees...but not baggage), RT, Non-stop, for September. I've been keeping an eye on SW's flights, just to see if they would, eventually, be the same or less.

So far, the $99 each way is the cheapest I've seen from BDL to MCO since the August/September rates were released.

Flights for Tues/Wed/Sat for most dates in June & July (with the exception of 4th of July week) are down to $81 one-way. That's the lowest I've seen so far!

We booked BDL to MCO in July for $79 each way. Our October flights are $99 each way - Sunday to Friday. I know BDL is your airport of choice, but if anyone is thinking about using HPN, we usually book on JetBlue instead of Airtran for very comparable fares with often better flight times. (AT has slim pickin's for non-stop flights.)

We chose BDL for October and July because we had credits to use. Ever since JetBlue started crediting back price changes, I prefer to use them, as their system is so much easier than Southwest, as long as you're not changing flights.

That's ecouraging!! I passed on the $99 fares for Oct. and now they're back to $116. I stil think, since I'm traveling Wed to Tu (2 of the lowest volume travel days) I'll snag something in the $70 range or at most $80. W/ our family of 4 that's a savings of $160 or $190! but I hate this waiting game.....

My dates Aug 18-26th are down to $81!!! I don't have time to rebook now hopefully by 8:30 tonight they'll still be there!

Wow!!! That's wonderful!!!! Hope you can grab them tonight! Post and let us know!!

We have a trip booked 9/24-10/3 (not going for that long but booked last year - we'll trim when I get the airfare). So far, $99 has been the best but the recent Dings for other time frames have been at $90. I won't fly Delta because of their penchant for changing flight times so SWA is my only option and I really do like SWA. I set a limit of $89 & if I can get that, we'll go. If not, we'll probably pass this year although DD and I were looking forward to the happy thought of F & FW, Free DDP and my birthday all coming together for the first time this year!

I did okay with the $81 dollar fares. I had already booked 4 of us at 99 ea way down from 116 last week, got it for both legs. This afternoon I booked the other 3 of us at 81 ea way and got it for both legs. Tonight tried to rebook the 99 dollar fares down to 81 but could only get the outbound flight at 81. The return was up to 116 so I'll be happy with the 99 I got on those 4 one way tickets. Can't complain, we're up to about 420 in credit already!

And now the 1 leg I couldn't get at $81 two days ago is back down to 81 so I rebooked that leg too!

That's great! :cool1: I'm going to check a lotthis weekend as I've noticed before they drop rates on holiday weekends when not as many ppl are booking. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!:goodvibes

Anyone notice that there hasn't been any DINGs to Orlando (from BDL) in a while?

I booked our return flight home for $81/pp, but for the flight down to Orlando(Thurs am) was $129. It finally went down to $106 so I booked it (out of fear) for 2 out of 3 of us. I am holding out hope that it will go down a bit, then I will get credit for the 2 of us and apply that credit to the 3rd ticket :headache:. Hope this works.

The lowest any flight is for the next few months is $101. Is anyone else sweating it out too?

I booked flights from BDL to MCO in mid April for travel from Aug. 17 - 23. A Monday through Sunday. Unfortunately, my DH works for a LARGE company and vacations weeks are chosen/assigned in January and are not flexible! Therefore, our travel days were pretty much set in stone. We paid $1651.00 total for 5 of us. I thought that was a good price. Apparently not! My question is how do I "rebook" to get a credit if the prices go down? Also, is there a time limit on the credits? Thanks

The flight I was looking at for July went up $20 p/p on Memorial Day . . .

I should of booked it . . .it's probably just going to get higher . . . BUT, that being said, I think $251/pp to fly from BDL to MCO at the end of July is pretty high considering that is what I paid during April vacation week . . .:confused3

Tomorrow my AP's expire . . and I told DH the only way I'm renewing is if the flights get cheaper . . .I think I have him sweating . . .:rotfl: I'll probably just suck it up and book the flight and renew the AP's anyway . . .but I like to keep him on pins and needles . . .:lmao:

Credits expire 1 year from the time of original purchase. ie. you bought tickets on 3/25/09 on 6/5 you rebook at a lower rate, the credit will be good until 3/25/10. (for completed travel, not purchasing another fare by 3/25/10 that happens in June 2010)

As for how to do it...if you go to the SWA website click on Travel tools, then "change a reservation". It will walk you through it step by step.

SOMEtimes, you can go through Travel Tools and "request refund" and they'll give you $ back on your credit card vs. credit w/ the airlines. It all depends on the original type of fare you booked, and what you changed it for.

WOW - Look at this. Whenever you can fly out midweek it can sure make a difference. Look at this for a family of 4 rnd trip from BDL:

Wed -> Tues $79 $79 total w/ taxes = $717 PURCHASED

Tues -> Mon $79 $113 =$957

Sat -> Sat $220 $182* =$1693 (have to take earlier flight home or would be $260 = $2005!!)

Sun -> Sun $111 $152 =$1137

These were wanna get away fares not Dings!

Did you notice that the lowest the DINGs have been is $90??
We booked Thurs-Tues and got $90 going down and $81 coming home

Our flight home is now $79, but I don't think I'll reboook for the $6 credit.

coming back on a Wed night. My goal was no more than $89 so all good there. Of course the Sat early morning going down is RIDICULOUS!!!! So I sit and wait and hope!!!!!

No, not worth it for $6. I'm sure as it gets closer it might go down even more,but I'm locked in at a rate we can live w/, so I'm doing the happy dance today.:cool1:

And yes, on the dings....I couldn't even get the $90 for our travel dates before.
