Just returned a few days ago from vacation in Disney World and Universal - me, hubby and twin girls, age 10. We had a very nice time ... And I will write reviews over next few days - for now here are some highlights:

Disney Stay: Stayed at Swan Hotel for first 3 nights/4 days and then at Dolphin for next 2 nights/3 days). Rooms at both places were nice - At Swan - I was in a room with a king size bed and sofa pullout - no view but nice size room. At the Dolphin, we were in a Deluze Alcove room - nize size. These two hotels bigges asset is its closeness to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We ate at Blue Zoo, the Fountain, the Mediterrean restaurant (can't remember the complete name right now) and Pickabu. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast at the Meditterean restaurant and the food at Picabu was good.

Bibbidity Bobbitty Boutique - The girls did this at the Castle. One got the bun and the other got a hairstyle with a long hair piece. They got the package with the hair, nail polish, make up and I am glad I let them do it. The pics and memories were priceless. They looked beautiful and they loved it. Hair styles lasted 4 days. Girls want to do it again. I know they would like it but they loved, loved, loved it. Breakfast at CRT - After the BBB, we did breakfast at CRT. That was nice too with a lot of pics with the princesses.

We also ate at Teppan Edo, Tusker House and Bongos snd dpent s little time st DisnyQuest.

We spent 2 nights/3 days at a Universal onsite hotel (Portofino Bay Hotel). At check-in, hotel offered/gave us a $50 discount per night (so $100) because of the construction/landscaping going on on the side of the building we stayed at. Appreciated the $100 off- and the construction was never really a problem. Honestly, only heard noise onr morning - the day of our departure. It was great taking the water taxi to the parks and City Walk ... Took less than 10 minutes. Also didn't have to wait long for the water taxi - the most we waited was 10 minutes.

Having the express pass was great ... Dont think we can go back again without this. We never really waited too long and I felt good going on the express pass line. We ate at Sals at Portofino. - real good pizza, salad and sandwiches. We also ate at Margaitaville and Emerills.

One of my twins is a picky eater - the other one is very adventurous food-wise... But we were always able to get something at the restaurants (in Disney and Universal) that my picky eater could eat.

Will write more later. Any questions, just ask.

When we went to Universal last summer, we visited the Portofino Resort! It was beautiful! Thanks for sharing!pixiedust:
