Recent reports on wi-fi at BWV?

A couple months ago, I read posts where people were commenting on how unreliable the wi-fi was at BWV. We'll be arriving at BWV in 5 days and I'm wondering what recent experiences people have had with the wi-fi there.

We stayed in room 4041 (BW view) 3/9 - 3/15 and did not have a very good signal. I could detect the wifi, but could not really do much with it. The hard-wired internet was still working with my travel router. I had my own ethernet cable, as I don't think one is available in the room anymore.

We moved over to the Grand Floridian on 3/15 and had a great connection with the free wifi.

We were there ( in a Courtyard view - so close to lobby, if that matters) for Mar 9 - 12 and wifi in the room (accessing via ipad) worked great.

We stayed in room 1111 (Studio - standard view) from 3/14 - 3/18 and I thought the Wifi was very good. I had to reconnect every once in awhile, but overall, it was good. I had a strong signal and I thought the response time was pretty decent.

We were there in late January... at the back end of standard view... second floor. Our iPads had good reception.

Thanks for the replies! Sounds like I can at least be hopeful for a good connection. I'll try to remember to report back while I'm down there.

It seems that it depends on where you are located in relation to the access points and routers. We had a router in our room and we still had speed and connection issues back in December.

According to the vendor, the implementation is a work in progress.

There is a router in 5041 but we had lots of problems in January. I just do not get it.

I was just there 3/18- 3/25. It was SLOW, with a very weak signal. I even had my router plugged in to try to get a better signal. I gave up and just used 3G. (room 2123)

I've been at BWV a couple days now and so far the wi-fi has been great. We're on the first floor standard view near the quiet pool. Hope the excellent wi-fi signal continues! We're here for another week.

I'm at BWV now and so far the wireless service has been very good. Signal strength is very good to excellent.

Staying on the 4th floor (standard view). It is definitely faster in the early morning than in the later evening, lol.

I'm leaving tomorrow . I have the router packed just in case. There's 3 of us with electronics so I hope we can get a good signal.

I tested the hard wired internet connection during our current stay at BWV, Jambo, and BCV. All have now been disconnected.

WiFi and the new DirecTV television channels were weak, with frequent drop outs at all locations.

At BWV now, on the end near Jellyrolls. Wireless is working great. My one friend was having trouble connecting her tablet so I tried plugging in the router and it picked up a signal but would not connect to the internet.
