Thanks for your responses. Sherry, I remember the pin code deal last year where a lot of people were getting cards with mixed up names and addresses and I thought someone was able to fix it and book at the discount rate. It is SO frustrating that her name is on my info! When we went I made the reservation and did everything but she was a guest in another room attached to ours so somehow we are lumped together. I was just curious what the discounted rates are throughout the year...
I remember your trip from last year very well! (Some folks' trips stick out in my mind.) You used the senior discount when you all stayed at GCH last Fall, correct? So Disney must have procured your mother-in-law's name - much like they did with my friend's name - and locked her in as being at your address, as they did with me and my friend. And later you got caught in the scary mob of people on Main Street when they weren't letting anyone escape through the short cut in the shop next to Carnation. I even thought of you when I was back at DLR in December, remembering your ordeal. Even though we didn't run into those same mobs, thankfully (I think it was just good timing and we missed them), I was kind of sizing up the Carnation area where the shops are because I was afraid we would get caught in a mob like that when the light show on Main Street and the snow happened, so I was trying to look for an alternate escape route - JUST IN CASE!
I am assuming that if the incorrect person on your DLR hotel 'account' does not make a reservation of her own, in her name, using all
your contact info for the next couple of years or so, and you
do make another reservation with your name at your address, the system will probably eventually flush out your mother-in-law's name, almost sort of like you are starting all over getting in their database. I was getting a lot of e-mails in my friend's name - which was irritating me, because you never know if the next CM in Reservations will allow me to book using that PIN code like they did in October or not - but when I registered for my birthday thing, I noticed I began to receive more e-mails in MY name. So hopefully, they have gotten rid of my friend's name. Whatever the case, they al told me they had no way of changing the name in the system - which seems a little odd.
Is there any chance your mother in law will be going with you on your next trip - just in case you have to use 'her' PIN discount??
Last year, there were different discounts floating around (PIN and online, if I recall) up until about mid-December. So I wonder if they will start circulating some new PIN offers once the September 30 date on the current one passes. That is really the season I am interested in - between early October and mid-December!
