Recent ME riders - how long from MCO to resort?

Trying to decide whether to chance it with ME or budget for a cab . . . Arriving Friday afternoon at 3 pm and need to make it to Wide World of Sports to pick up a race packet before 7 pm (well actually it closes at 7 pm, so I would need to be there more like 6 pm).

As I am writing this, I am thinking that it really will be cutting it short to use ME unless it really does take about 90 minutes, since I have to stop by the resort first - so if I am at the resort before 5 pm, that would be great. But how likely is that with ME?

Any recent experiences with ME? How long did it take you to get from MCO to your resort?

You SHOULD be at your resort within 90 minutes of walking off the plane. So, you SHOULD be fine. Does that mean nothing will go wrong? Absolutely not. But I think the bigger danger is delays from flying.

Here's what I'd do... book ME. When you get to MCO, you can decide at any point to get a cab (of course, then you won't be able to take advantage of the luggage service). So if you land at 3pm and at 5pm (highly unlikely) haven't left on the bus, go get a cab and have them take you right to your package pickup point. Then another cab to your resort.

It was about 90 min for me in November, I was the 4th stop (CBR > YC > BC > BW). They had to off load a wheel chair at BC, that took some extra time.

It was about an hour and 15 minutes for us in October. Stayed at Pop Century.

I do not know how long it exactly took to get to my resort. But a few weeks ago it took me exactly 2 hours from the moment I got off plane to the time I entered EPCOT.

Plane -> ME -> Resort -> Check-in -> room -> bus -> entry into EPCOT = Exactly 2 hours.

Keep in mind I was alone and was on a mission to get to EPCOT...lol (I didn't waste any time)
