:upsidedowHi guys! We are planning to eat at both of the above and would love to hear about any recent experiences, good or bad, and any photos that you have! Also, do you know how far in advance you can book BICE? And have any of you taken children to Tchoup Chop?

Bumping this up for you. :) This board is great and so helpful, but I notice that unlike the Disney boards it's hard to get much advice about the restaurants, I don't know if a lot of people don't do the nicer restaurants or what. :confused3 I'm planning on going to Tchoup Chop on our upcoming trip and have only found a handful of reviews on the place and some of them are at least a year old.

Hope someone can answer your question. I'll definitely post my reviews on the restaurants when I get back.

I'll dine at Tchoup Chop next week for the first time in about two years so I'll let you know then. :)

Thank you so much for bumping this, that's really kind! I agree with you about not being able to find as many reviews/up to date ones of the sit down Universal restaurants...............can't wait to read your reviews from your up coming trips!!!!!

For finding older info out there, I think doing the advanced google search is best and put in disboards.com for your forum.

I have eaten at both. We eat at Tchoup Chop every trip. I would recommend asking for a booth when you call for a reservation. The food is very good. My wife loves the dumplings.

We eat at BICE about 3 times a year because it does have a more formal feel (waiters in tuxes and a piano player) about it. The pasta is made fresh every day. The short rib ravioli is incredible. We have never had anything but good service (ask for Chris to be your waiter). The prices are higher than at Tchoup Chop but to me the ravioli alone is worth it.

I do not think you will be unhappy with whichever you choose. I think it would honestly depend on which you prefer: Italian food or Asian themed food.
