Recent experience with luggage being picked up from MCO Hyatt?

After several years of making other arrangements, we are staying at the airport Hyatt and taking Disney transfers to Port Canaveral early next year.
We booked the Hyatt separately, but arranged the transfers through DCL. Can anyone help us with the procedure for getting our luggage transferred from our Hyatt room to Port Canaveral? Years ago, the Hyatt staff gave us a form on check in, and we placed the bags outside our room in the morning, as we were leaving.

Thanks!

As I understand, you have to inform DCL at least 3 days prior to sailing of your wish to do this. DCL sends a list to Hyatt.

Previously, I noted the cruise luggage transfer need on my client's Hyatt reservation. The client should then always further note this at check-in to get the most current instructions. Typically the hotel will tell you what time to have your bags ready for pick-up.

We used this service in May and I believe it was the similar protocol, although I honestly don't remember the details. What I do remember is that the staff at the front desk were very helpful in explaining the system to us, and they also gave us a paper with directions on it so that we could refer to it later. It was a very easy and convenient process!

Not particularly recent, but I recall the bags must be INSIDE the room, not outside for pickup.

At that time, we filled out a form to be handed in at the DCL transfer desk (enabled them to confirm that all bags were picked up). But I believe you have to let the Hyatt know ahead of time now. Don't know if you still fill out the form for the DCL transfer people.

Hi my daughter and I stayed there for the first time the day after Thanksgiving prior to our cruise. Upon check-in the clerk advised us that the Hyatt no longer picks up your bags unless you book your stay with them through Disney. We did not, so we had to drag all our luggage down to the bus with us. It wasn't terrible, but it was a Saturday and so the airport was very crowded, plus we had a bit of a wait downstairs for the shuttle. I was a little disappointed.

however there was a truck parked near the shuttles and you could take your luggage to that area and so we did that, and Disney took it from us and to the port. I was a little confused and we did this without realizing we could take it on our shuttle, but we were tired of pulling all of it.

On a positive note, we loved the hotel, and their restaurant and I particularly enjoyed watching the planes from the top deck.

Thanks for the update. Did you call DCL prior to arrival, to ask them about the luggage pick up? Just wondering if this no longer works, or if you didn't try this.

I did not call Disney prior. I wasn't familiar with the procedure and thought we told them when we checked in. It was our first time using the Hyatt instead of a Disney resort, and the check-in clerk informed me of what I reported above. I did not and have not called Disney to confirm.
