Recent Experience Booking FP+ at 60 days?

Tomorrow's my 60-day FP+ day, and I have a couple questions about recent bookings:

1. Which has been quicker/more efficient: MDE app or website on the computer? I know the app has been really wonky lately, but the FP+ interface on the website seems to have a lot of extra steps (unless I'm missing a shortcut or something).

2. In recent weeks there was some talk about the window opening before 7 a.m. Has anyone had this happen? Just wondering when to start checking.

Of course this all assumes MDE is up and running (it is back up now) ...

Of course this all assumes MDE is up and running (it is back up now) ...

1. You will find advocates and detractors for both. If you booked tickets separately from your room (no package), you can practice now on both using a day less than 30 days from now.

2. This happens in unusual circumstances. More than likely, your window will open at 7:00a ET. If you want to check earlier, go right ahead.
 
Thanks so much! Sorry if I seem over-eager/over-nervous. First time going as an adult, and I want to get it right for our little family of three! This site has been so incredibly helpful and supportive.
 

When I booked our fastpasses in November, I started out by using the website on my laptop. It began going really slow mid-way through, so I then switched to the app on my phone and had not problems.
 
^ This is what happened to me too in November. I got a couple booked, then it told me website was down — try later. I had read about it here so switched to app on my phone then it was seamless. I got everything I wanted. We’ll be there for a week starting this Saturday:mickeyjum
 
I booked all of our FP+s for January on the website. No problems, other than not having our tickets properly linked within MDE. Once IT straightened that out, it was smooth sailing.
 
When we went in August 2016, I never had issues on the website. I didn't try advance FP+ on the app but when I was at the park to get later FP+ the app definitely didn't always work.
