Recent Dreamers, what's the realtalk on kids in 18+ areas?

I had stopped worrying about this for a while, and for the most part I only see comments saying that DCL is very good about allowing the 18+ areas to remain 18+. However, on another forum I've seen some recent talk about that not being the case, and cast members allowing kids to remain in both Cove Cafe and the quiet cove pool, on the Dream specifically. "looking the other way" is the phrase I read.

I'm really looking forward to using these areas on our adults-only cruise. I just really enjoy a little quiet.

I understand that the argument is you cruise DCL, you expect to see kids. I understand that. The flip side is that DCL cheerleaders often counter that DCL is excellent about enforcement of the adult zones.

I'm not going to freak out if kids are walking through the area, and I know why that happens. What I really want to know is if I have a decent chance of being able to relax and get away from it all, both in the cafe and at the cove pool, or if it will essentially just be a family deck overflow area. I'd love honest answers about recent experiences.

I was on the Dream last October and found the staff to be good about keeping kids out of the adult areas. I was in the Quiet Cove area and a couple came in with their kids. A CM approached and reminded them it was an adult only area. They promised they were just passing through, but they stopped to chat with some friends. The CM gave them a few minutes, then told them they had to leave the area.

most recent cruise was six months ago. we have never had a problem with kids in the adults only area. I read about the issue but either we have been very very lucky or we just never noticed it and I would think I would have if it was an issue.

I'm wondering if the folks complaining on the other forum are only talking about kids walking through the area due to the traffic pattern of the forward elevators, which isn't the kind of thing that will bother me. One poster did mention the Cafe specifically, though.

We had deck 12 concierge but almost always traveled through the adults only area with the kids to get to the forward side where our room was. It would be silly for us to go down a deck to go over and up through the elevators to get to our room. We told our children that they had to stay right with us and to stay quiet while passing through the adult only area. They stayed quiet and we briskly passed through every time. We totally get it, we have three children, sometimes we just want quiet and not have to see and hear other children as well when you are specifically in a child free zone. We never saw other people with children in that area unless they were following the traffic pattern to pass through. If you see children and their parents you can either remind them kindly that it is an adult only area, they may not realize it is an adult only area(I only remember the signs being in English, they may not speak English). Or if you are not confrontational, you can talk to a CM who is trained in how to respectfully ask them to leave and enforce the policy if necessary.
I have seen and heard of people getting upset just because they have to see a child pass through, to that, I say get over it. It is a Disney cruise, there isn't any place other than the bar where you won't see a child at any given time. If people are so bothered by children in that regard. They should definitely not cruise on Disney.

I've only seen kids pass through, not stay, in adult areas. My older teens were checked to be sure they were 18 on their last cruise with us. CMs checked their kttw cards the first couple of days but I guess they recognized them after that and stopped checking later in the cruise.

When we went in Feb, the only kids we saw in the 18+ areas were parents with kids walking through the area to get the the main pool area. We also bought all access passes to the rainforest room so we could duck into there whenever we wanted quiet time away from kids and noisy adults.
