Recent DDE holders - how long did it take for your card to arrive after ordering ?

OK - lets start with anyone who has ordered a DDE card since end of November 2005....

From the day you ordered the DDE card to the day the DDE card came in the mail - How many days between ?
Like my math problem ? !

I am wondering if the DDE office has improved their process and efficiency ?

I ordered mine the week before Christmas, the charge posted to my account on Dec.27th, and I received them this week. So how many days? About 14.

faxed mine in on dec 7th and it was mailed on dec 21st....14 days for me as well.

When you order this, it's good for a year right? Does it work like an AP voucher where you activate it there? Or do you pick a date for it to start? Or does it start when they mail it to you?

It is good from about the time you order it until the end of that month a year later.

For example, I ordered mine at the beginning of October. I received it about 2-3 weeks later, around the 24th of October. It is valid until October 31 of this year. They will print out a slip that you can pick up at Epcot Guest Relations if you want to use the discount but don't have the card yet.

They will make allowances if you order close to the end of the month but I am not sure how that works.

I was wondering too. We are going at Easter this year and it looks like President's week next year so I want to wait and make sure it will be good through February 2007. If I order on March 1st it looks like I'll get it before we leave in April. We decided to get a DDE card instead of doing the dining plan. The dining plan looks like you get a lot for your buck but if we eat all that food our pants will magically shrink! We certainly don't want that to happen (even though eating all that food would be great!).

I ordered mine on January 3rd. My CC was charged that same day. I was told to allow 4 weeks to receive it, but could pick up a temporary at Epcot.

Well. imagine my surprise when I received it.....Drumroll please.......On January 9th!

Needless to say, I was shocked that it arrived so quickly (It's pretty too!)

I ordered mine on December 6 or 7 and it was in the mail on December 23. Also it is good until January 31, 2007.

If you order it after the 5th of a month it will be valid through the end of the following month the next year.

Ordered mine on 12/30, got it on 1/6. 7 days and that was over a holiday! It was also a renewal.

Same for us. Ordered on 12/29 and got it on 1/5 or 1/6.

I also ordered mine on 12/30, got it on 1/6. It was for a new card. Exp 1/31/07. I couldn't believe how fast it came and even over the holidays.

I guess I win the prize for the longest! I ordered mine in June. I picked up the letter that week at Epcot, but never received the card in the mail. I just called at Christmas because we are going again in March, and they sent one out which I received 2 weeks later. It does still have the original July experation date though.

Don't mean to go off topic here, but if you do have to get the temporary, is Guest Relations at EPCOT the only place to get it?
