Recent cruisers: soda question

Hi everyone:

I was planning on buying the soda stickers for DSs for our cruise in August. But now that they have soda at the drink station, I think I've been reading that you no longer can buy a soda sticker. Is this correct?? I'm wondering about soda in The Stack (the teen lounge). Would DSs have to pay for a soda if they're in The Stack?? Thanks!

There are no more soda stickers, but I don't know how things are in the Stack, or if they even have soda dispensers there.

That's a great question. It looks like we're going to be on the same cruise -- and I have a 17 DD. That would be good to know if they need to worry about charging soda while in the The Stack.

We're even on the same deck. Look for our door decorations on 6130!

I thought the policy changed and soda is free in all parts of the ship at all times. Did I misunderstand?

As I believe it has changed to - restaurants and drink station on Deck 9 free - bars and room service - still a charge.

I JUST RETURNED FROM THE MAGIC ON SATURDAY...THERE IS ONLY A CHARGE FOR SODA AT THE BARS OR ROOM SERVICE
MUST SAY I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE STACK. THE SODA STATION ON DECK 9 IS AVAIL. 24hrs A DAY

We just got back also. Oldest ds (16) just went to get soda at beverage station on Deck 9. It's just a hop, skip and a jump away. The only complaint we had about the soda was that it got flatter and flatter as the week went on.

Yes, it did get flatter, and warmer. The ice machines couldn't keep up, so what came out was warm. Then, it would melt whatever ice you had in your cup, so it was quickly watered down.

But hey, it was free.

We ran into that problem with the ice last July as well. It just couldn't keep up with the heat.

Lisa, so was it your DS's choice to go to the drink station from the Stack, or was it because they were charging?

Mike, ds says the only drinks they had at the Stack are smoothies and they do charge for them. No other drinks are served there. HTH
