I am chaperoning a trip with my fifth grader next week. Does the park allow you to bring in a bottle of water or some light snacks (granola bar etc)?

What are the must sees for little girls that will ride the big coasters or the ones that love shows? TIA.

We were there over spring break.
Yes you can bring water and snacks. They do look in your back pack. Not sure about a cooler.
We enjoyed most of the shows. I think they would like the one in Africa.
Also if you do the safari ask when they line you up if one of the girls can be the copilot, They just sit in the front seat and the driver jokes with them.
The coasters are very fun! Loved the big one that seats 8 across. Can't think of the name. But it has a 90 degree drop! GO to the 4th row to wait. It is the front of the next car. When we were there everyone waited for the front and didn't realize 3 rows back and you were in the front of the next car!
What day is the trip? My mom is headed north next week and plans to stop...might want to warn her about school trips!

We are going Wed the 27th. In our area, lots of schools do the end of year trips in Busch Gardens so she may run into busloads of kids all next week. Our schools are out on Friday, the 29th so maybe Friday would be the best day.

Thanks for the info!!

One last question. On the website it says that there will no loose objects allowed on the roller coasters (obviously) including backpacks, and that they are not even allowed in the que while you are waiting in line. Is there no place to leave them before entering the ride? I know at Wild Adventures and other parks I've been to you can leave your bag in a cubbie or on the ground on the other side of the ride and pick it up when you get off. In Disney, I just put them on the floor and maybe hook a foot through the loop. Any idea if this is really true?

Bumping to see if anyone has an answer. TIA.

A few of the coasters you can not bring anything on the ride with you. I was able to carry my stuff up to the coaster but then you have to leave it. Even if it is a small purse you have over your head.
I would suggest renting a locker and ride the main coasters. This was one theme park that I didn't feel my stuff was secure. Places like Hershey Park have one storage area for each car going. They had a sliding door. THis one you jsut find a spot and stash your stuff. They had 3 or 4 cars going at once.

Thanks, this is what I needed to know. Maybe I'll do the waist pack for cash and phone and wear that on the rides and a backpack stored in a locker for water bottles, sunscreen etc.

YOu will not even be allowed to have a fanny pack on some of the rides. I can't think of the names right now. But one in Egypt, and then the great coaster that has the 90degree drops.
What we did was rented a locker and did the big coasters all of our stuff was locked.
