Receiving Save File Boxes. . .

I have been receiving "save file" boxes while browsing the boards. The file names are always numeral/letters and the type of file is noted as "all files". There are times when I will receive 9 or 10 of these and other times when I receive none. I should have done a screen shot (and will when it happens again), but didn't think about it until after I had hit "cancel". As luck would have it, I haven't received anymore since I began this post.

Any thoughts why this is happening daily?

Probably related to a banner ad company attempting to send something malicious @WebmasterCorey have you actually looked into this?? I posted in another thread a few days ago about the same thing.

I've been getting the same save prompts recently, quite frequently here on DISboards. Often I have to cancel out of two or more of them at a time. It doesn't appear to be related to any particular forum section.

I had this same issue awhile back (not sure exactly how long ago), and the problem went away on its own without any explanation or change on my part.

And now, about 3 weeks later, the Save prompts seem to have stopped. My suspicion is that it's some rogue advertisements that are trying to download something to my computer. As before, this only happens to me on DISboards.

Stopped for me as well and it was only ever on the DIS.
