I got home from work at 7PM Pacific time and found a postcard from Disney in my mailbox that said "book by 9/22 before 'space' runs out". Well, this is a tease since CRO is closed (it's now 10 PM Eastern time) so why bother sending it if there's not enough time to get it mailed to the west coast before it expires? It's good for 11/10/03- 2/11/04 but not Xmas or Thanksgiving. It states 3-night package from 141.00 per adult per night and states rate valid at a select Disney Deluxe Resort. Well, I'm not going until April anyway and have booked the Swan but my grown sons might be interested in a special rate.

I've got my fingers crossed a postcard will find it's way to me again - and with time to actually make a reservation.

If you are interested in going during that time I would call CRO and tell them about your postcard.

I agree with safetymom. If you are going to be able to use the rate during the required periods, I would call CRO. Explain to them that you did not receive the postcard until the final day and CRO was already closed by the time you got your mail. Disney is usually very guest friendly and may be able to help you book using the postcard rate even though it has techically expired.

Since we're not going until April, I probably wouldn't have used it anyway. Nevertheless, I may give them a call just to note the issue and ask them to send me another one in the next round and one good for April (maybe I'm dreaming). As I said in an earlier post, me, DH and DS (9) will stay at the Swan due to great rate for Jr. King Suite (AAA discount 222.00) per night.

But, my other two DS (24 - twins) might want to stay on property if they can get the right price. Currently have a ressie at DD Hilton, 139.00 per night since it's directly across from PI. A disney resort or moderate discount might entice them to stay on site. :D

CRO doesn't close until 11pm Eastern Time.

I would call them and explain the situation.
