Received my DVC Lanyard today

I know fellow DVC members will understand my excitement. I was at Woodfield Mall today w/ my daughter and her kids. We stopped to see the BLT model since I have not been to Doorway to Dreams yet. I was able to show my daughter what the two bedroom will look like when we stay in Dec. It will be like having our own mini house. I asked if they had any DVC lanyards since I want to start pin trading. They brought us out two. I can not tell you how something so small as a DVC lanyard is so exciting. I can not wait until we I wear it down for our 1st DVC trip at BCV in Sept. By the way, I happy to own at BLT.

We got ours at our closing on Sunday and I was SOOO excited!
I am a huge pin junkie and it totally made my day. The CM joked that we only signed so that I could get a new lanyard

What day did you do the tour? I was there on the 4th, head of the "Happy" team.

Also, I LOVE Figment. My MIL started complaining on our trip a couple weeks ago that I bought the girls yet ANOTHER plush toy after saying I wouldn't. I told her that I didn't, Figment is MINE!!!

Figment is MINE MINE MINE. I have been in love with him since my very first trip to WDW. When I was little he actually rode with my on the first plane ride I can remember and the flight attendant gave us both a pair of wings b/c I cried when he didn't get one b/c I thought it hurt his feelings

the day after Memorial Day, June 1st. Each family got a DVC bag with pens, 2 note book holders, 2 lanyards, points chart and a pin. DH also won a prize, dvc calendar. It was a good break from the park for about an hour.

I guess we really should have gone for a presentation instead of just letting them take us from a park to meet with a Guide. We didn't get any of these freebies with our initial guide. When we were reassigned (we had some problems with our first guide), our new one did send us DVC pins though (the pins with globetrotting Mickey and his luggage in front of a jet). That made me happy, happy, happy!

When all else fails there's usually good selection of DVC swag on ebay.

Is there a place to purchase a DVC lanyard?

Not to my knowledge. Perhaps if you call your guide? We got a couple when we did the tour at BLT/TOTW lounge in March. The nicest part about the lanyards is that are short enough for kids to wear. The worst part is that they are pink and boys and some parents are not to thrilled with pink. BTW the lanyards will be too narrow for your new Global trotting Travel Mickey Pin.

If it's hot pink with blue lettering then I did see someone selling one on ebay. I would call my guide first before paying for one.

I'm not big on pink... I may just pick up one of those nifty pin books I saw on the Disney Store site instead. Now, if they had a trading book with the DVC logo on it, I'd be in high cotton!

My new one is blue. If you are really wanting something ask. The worse they can say is no. The first guide told me she did not think they had lanyards at the place we visited. As we toured, the second guide came out w/ two. It made my day special

I really just want a convenient way to carry our TIW card, DVC card and APs when park hopping. It's a pain to dig them out of the backpack pockets and give each person the correct one. Add the convenience of sticking the pins on the lanyard and it seems like a good solution.

ours are just fine. we did need to buy a better plastic carrying case that hooks to the lanyard, the one that came with it, didn't zip all that well. Hey, it was free, can't complain about that.
