I was so excited! Could it be the new "Peter Pan" pin code email that everyone is talking about on the DIS? :woohoo:

Not this time! Darn it! The subject line says: "Explore your Disney Resort picks, XXXX family! Doesn't appear to have any pin code attached to it! ugghh...so frustrating! :sad2:

Anyone else receive these types of emails and does it mean that I might have a pin code associated with my name? I hate calling the reservation line.

TIA!

Do you get that from just having your email submitted to www.disneyworld.com?
I have my email there but have never gotten an email from disney destinations let alone a pin. I am starting to wonder if I need to submit my email somewhere else.
Help?:confused3

I have gone on the disney world website and researched different vacation dates and then saved the trip quotes...I think that's how I got this email.

This isn't the first time I've received this type of email from Disney Destinations...its so frustrating not to get a PIN code! :headache:

I got the same one and called and none for me.:sad2:

Explore your resorts is usually a good sign that a pin could be coming!

I got one of these emails a couple of weeks ago. I had been to the disney site researching packages. I did not save the offer. I was just pricing packages. It did not have a pin in the email. It just advertised the current public offers through 2/16/10. I had priced a package at Wilderness Lodge during for a stay prior to 2/16/10 just to see the price difference with the discount offer as compared to the trip I really want to take in May.

I've done the same thing and gotten a PIN code from it for the dates I plugged in. Unfortunately I couldn't use it since last year I plugged in this years dates to get an idea about pricing for NEXT October.

I called Disney because I had noticed on my reservation confirmation that I had booked a water view instead of standard view at POFQ. The CM mentioned that they didn't have my e-mail address, which I thought was weird because they had sent me e-mail confirmation when I made the reservation a few weeks ago (and I have received pin code e-mails in the past). Anyway, I gladly gave her me e-mail address and the very next day, I received the same e-mail as the OP from Disney Destination. Like the OP, I was very excited thinking that it was a PIN code e-mail. In fact, I received it on the same day that most people seemed to receive the "peter pan pin code" e-mail, so I called Disney just to make sure that I didn't have any special offers associated with my name. Unfortunately, I didn't have any luck this time. I'm still hoping that a general public discount is coming soon for my dates May 1-14.

I received this email a week before I received the PIN email so hoping you get one too :goodvibes

I'm not giving up hope yet but I got that email a month ago... still no pin code for me :sad1:

I get that email every time I play with possible vacation dates online.....and I have never ever rec'd a pin code. Maybe our luck will change. We just got another "explore your resort choice" email today, but I'm not holding my breath for a pin code.
I told DH, if we ever do get a pin code, he better be prepared to book a trip and use it, because it could be the only one we see for a very long time!

Same here! I played with some itineraries yesterday, hoping to get the pin and instead I get the "Explore your Disney Resort picks, XXXX family!" with no pin and the link to the "Special Offer" available to the public and ends on Feb 11. I need that offer for later dates.

Hi same email and,,,,,,,, no pin!:sad1:

Crossing my fingers and toes for a pin 40% off deluxe!!!:lovestruc Please!!!:wizard: I have a while to wait and work at it!;)

I received pins in emails almost every month or so for the last year but could never use them. Now that we are planning a trip for late January, no email or pin. :confused3 I was able to reserve the Poly for 40 percent off through the special deal off the website. Isn't this about the same deal as what pins usually provide? I am pretty sure that now that I have made a reservation, there will be no email coming until after Feb now. But we have Poly garden view for $231 a night so we are happy with that.

I've found that if you got this email from saving a vacation offer then the next thing to do is go back and delete all saved offers and itinerary's, then log out and stay away!

That's what I did a couple of months ago and it opened the flood gates for pins.

Now that it's closer to our holiday I'm doing it again in hopes of getting one that I can actually use! :rotfl:

Yeah, the 40% off pin is the same as the public offer for 40% off. You won't find a betetr discount for the deluxes! But it only goes through Feb 11. I need a public offer or a pin for 40% off deluxe for later in 2011 than early February.
