Received a nice pin today!

I don't know the specifics of the pin because it only gave me a price per person to stay at a value but when I called the CM told me that my Polynesian resort plus tickets and DDP package from October 9 through October 15 went from $4200 to $3100. I don't know if anyone else knows the details of it but I'm thrilled.

My dates are 9/28-10/2, and I'm hoping for a room discount at the Poly - do you know if it was a room only discount, or a package discount??

I got the same one last night...booked today at POR...no Poly or CR left for my dates. But, it is room only. Dropped my package by $700. But, I will change if free dining is offered. We have 2 real adults and 2 Disney adults and 1 child so free dining is a huge deal for us!!

It was just for October with 7-9 being blacked out. I'm assuming for Columbus day weekend. It covered 5 of my 6 nights and I think it was 40% deluxe room discount. I feel like I scratched off an $1100 lottery ticket!

Yeah. It was most nights from October 1-6 and October 10-31.

I received a PIN this week and it was for the exact same dates. We already have a reservaton at CSR for November so I decided to call just to see if it would cover our dates...it said to call for other dates. They were able to apply it! It's 20% room only so not the BEST discount, but a discount non the less..I'll take it!

So yes, there is still hope of getting a PIN for October.

My PIN says STAY! PLAY! DINE! It too is a per adult daily rate on value resorts. This is for the month of October, our travel dates, but how can you tell if it's a good deal? It claims a savings of 22%. Guess I will have to call and talk to a CM, make a reservation and check against regular prices found on the website. It's only good till 6/9/11, so I better get busy. Has anyone else found out if this is a deal at all, a great deal, a so so deal, anything?

I think you should all them. I got the same one only it as for September (when we are going) and it priced out a value. I compared to the WDW website and it was over 20% savings on a value, so I'm hoping for a deluxe it is around 40%, guess I will have to call and see.

22% sounds about right. I'm saving about $1050 on a $4200 trip. That's a lot of cash.

After firming up our dates I started logging on to every Disney site I could find. I ordered all they offered free, took every poll, asked questions on the Mom's site and sure enough I got a PIN for the month we are traveling. We will be 3 adults and 3 kids. I called and got a wonderful CM who helped with PIN and availability. Even though the PIN called for value resort discount I asked for help and here's what we ended up with; (I hope this doesn't break any site rules)
Oct. 15 - 22 (7 nights)
Port Orleans Riverside
2 adjoining rooms with trundle beds
6 Park Hopper passes (no water parks)
6 quick dining deals
total just over $4,600
No flights included but we will use Magical Express
I feel we did ok with this deal. What does everyone else think?
No matter, we get to take our DD, DGD, and twin DGS to the World!
