Reccomendation for dinner - not in parks?

I've been poring over menus and reviews for weeks now and finally feel like I've got something that resembles a plan.

I'm only at a loss for one meal, for our last night. My mom and her husband will be coming to pick up the boys, so we need a restaurant outside the parks for 7 people.

My stepfather loves a good steak, but my mom prefers chicken or seafood. My husband and I are mostly meatless, but we'll eat seafood if we can't find a good place with veggie options. My kid brothers are just bottomless pits and will happily eat just about anything we put in front of them, so long as it's not too exotic.

Where should we go? I've heard some good things about Concourse Steakhouse, which is where I'm currently leaning, but we're open to suggestions. Thanks for the help!

You didn't mention if you are on the meal plan, so I don't know if number of credits is important. But, regardless .. here are the places I would suggest ..

Boma
Yachtman Steakhouse (they have good fish, too)
Flying Fish (and they serve an excellent steak)
Kona Cafe

I think Concourse Steakhouse is often an "overlooked" restaurant. We love it there. It's normally easy to get a table. The food is excellent. You can watch the monorail.

Other than that:

Boma
Yachtsman
Artist Point (a little more expensive, but my fav restaurant in Disnay)

My family liked Rainforest Cafe (outside AK). This place is busy and not quiet but the atmosphere was fun with LOTS of decor. My husband got a Seafood Pasta and I had a Cheese Pizza that was very good. We went for the kids but we all enjoyed the food & atmosphere.

My husand and I went to Boma's and LOVED it. They had good veggie choices and the buffet was so large I am sure everyone in your party could find something they like. I really liked the coconut rice and the wide selection of soups. I am allergic to Walnuts (the dishes have a lot of nuts) so they made me the most wonderful Shrimp dish I ever tasted. Boma's too was busy and noisy (due to high ceilings). The AKL is beautiful and I great place to check out and enjoy a great meal.

I thought the service at both places are outstanding.

We love to eat at Whispering Canyone Cafe inside the Wilderness Lodge. You can really make an evening out of it, by walking the resort and visiting the gift shop. You would need to read the menu, though, because I'm not sure if you and DH would like alot of the food. It is really fun, though, and your kids would love it.

thanks guys! We will be on the dining plan, but I'd be willing to do a signature dining experience if you all thought one was particularly worth it. The boys aren't particularly into table service meals, so I'd be happy to use a bunch on one really nice meal - my family doesn't do that often.

I'm excited to hear that the Flying Fish has good steak - and seeing how often Bomas is reccomended, I'll have to make sure we visit, even if it's not that night. The recent vegetarian review of Boma made my mouth water!
