We had to reschedule our February trip for this July. I had purchased Black Friday deal tickets for February trip but now that I am changing our date I have to pay the difference. Even with their 40 percent off sale, for the three of us to reschedule it costs an additional 500.00!!! So I don’t think we will go. Any way this price for July will go down? It is after 4th

Haven't seen actual prices for DC go down except for Covid. Sales will discount it, but the list price pretty much only goes up as the date nears.
Your new prices suffer from 2 things - going from a slower time to a much busier time, and booking closer to the date after prices have started to rise.
