Okay, I finally did it. I cancelled at POR for Dec. 11-15 because this is to be a budget trip. I've never stayed off site but I'm okay with trying something new and different. What I need to be reassured on is that I made the right decision to go with Regal Sun Resort and not BWLBV. I got a great rate of 69.00 a night. This will save me 430.00 from POR. It was cheaper than BWLBV even with the resort fee.

The main thing that changed my mind is the pool area. My daughter loves to swim and RS had a much nicer pool area+ it comes with a refridgerator.

Anyone stay there and can tell me more about it?

Thanks for any and all help.:)

We stayed here for a few nights in May and we found it to be fine.:thumbsup2

We did try to upgrade to the tower but it was fully booked. I would imagine these are the best rooms. We were in the outside building with exterior doors much like Pop or the All Stars. The room was clean and comfortable and the fridge was great as my youngest son drinks loads of milk.

I would say that the external area was in need of some work. The elevator for example wasn't particularly clean but I'm not sleeping there so I didn't care! The pool area was really great and my boys loved it!
The location was the best part for me. From leaving our room to being inside DTD it was around a 5 min walk, if that!:thumbsup2

Heres some pics,

Have you thought about staying at a WDW value resort? The prices would be the same and you'd still have the ammenities. I just checked Mousesavers and the rates seem to be 59-69 during the timeframe you're seeking. Also, here's another thing to consider. Do you have a Disney Visa? If so, they just announced a package - free dining and possibly even a resort discount. You might come out ahead and end up feeling like you're spoiling yourself while you're at it! :)

Thank you so much for the replies. Especially the pictures!!!:cool1:

The Disney resorts are totally full so that's a no go. I've stayed on site over 20 times in all levels and one of the things I really look for is a Fridge and a pool slide for my daughter.

I may see if I can upgrade to a Disney view room. If I can it'll STILL be less than my previous reservation at POR. At Christmas it just makes sense to budget.

Thanks for the help

I love the shelving by the sink area! That's a brilliant idea. I hate sink clutter!
