Reassigning holding points to ressie points?

We currently have two reservations, one for Oct and one for Nov. There's a chance some of the Oct points might go into holding.

Can MS reassign those holding points as the points used for our November reservation?

Only if you made the reservation 60 days out of less. Otherwise, you are defeating the purpose they have with Holding points.

I think you could cancel some nights and then rebook with your holding points. It could be possible the nights would go to a waiting list though. I wondered if you cancelled and rebooked immediately online if you could keep the nights or not.
Are the nights of you Nov. reservation sold out at your resort and room size or are there still villas available?

You can't cancel a portion of the reservation on line. Only through MS.

As mentioned, if there is still availability for some of the nights of your November reservation once you have the holding points, you can call MS and have them book and then work it so its all part of one reservation.


The other option is to go online as soon as you cancel and book the nights you can yourself and then send an email to MS asking that they cancel the original nights.

But, with going in October and November, you'd have to make sure that the holding points--if they can replace days in November--are used at least 31 days prior to the November nights or those that are freed up from the November reservation you have now are going to end up in holding as well.
