Hi everyone, I am looking for a very nice reasonable all inclusive resort. If it is adult only that would be all the better. My cousin and I along with our husbands have decoded we could use and adult only beach vacation since better of us truly had a honeymoon. So if anyone has any recommendations it would be greatly appreciated. We are looking for the fall o

Of this year and are will to travel outside of the US. We are looking to keep it around 1500-2000 per couple.

Sorry for the double thread and any typos my phone locked up on me.

Thanks for you help!

Try the Dominican Republic. I think the Bahia group has one that might fit your budget. I have done the Dominican for several years and it's great. We don't do Adult Only so I can't help you there.

I book via a TA, but use Apple Vacations to do my reserach (that's who the TA uses but...)

My sisiter went to Turks and Caicos(?) this past June for her private wedding.
Don't know if any of it is adult only, but they loved their time there.
They used a TA for everything.

You're looking at price. Check places like travelzoo, cheap Caribbean, applevacations. If you're a member check with COSTCO travel.

Most of us use the term "adult resort" to mean no kids. Some people use the term to refer to a "lifestyle" resort where partner swapping is encouraged. Just make sure you book the kind of resort you want.

I think the Dominican Republic probably has better pricing but the Cancun and Mexican Mayan area offer more things to safely do outside of your resort. Some of the resorts have great pools but not so great beaches.

My husband and I like the Couples Resorts on Jamacia - Negril and Swept Away. We are going in June and the total cost for both of us including airfare for 5 nights is about $2600. For us, airfare-wise from where we live, it's easier and cheaper to get to Jamaica than it is to get to Punta Cana or Cancun. The resorts aren't as fancy as some of the ones in DR or Mex, but they are nice enough, the beaches are beautiful, and the atmosphere is very laid back.

I can vouch for a couple in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We stayed for a week at the Catalonia Bavaro and had a nice time. Since our initial trip, they've opened a new adults-only section of the resort. However, when we were there, there weren't many kids in the main resort (though we did have our dd with us who was three at the time).

We also stated at the Iberostar Punta Cana for two weeks and also had a nice time. The Iberostar has three tiers of accommodation at their main resort, with the Punta Cana being at the low end, and we still found it to be very good. I think the top tier was called the Bavaro, and it also looked quite nice. In Punta Cana, the Iberostar also has an adults-only resort, which looked amazing, but I think it's very costly.

All inclusive is a great way to go when traveling with a group. Have a great trip!

What sites do you use to book your all-inclusive resorts? And is there anything you recommend staying away from?

I have done the Iberostar the last few years. There are basically four hotels.

1. Punta Cana, where you stayed
2. Dominicana
3. Bavaro
4. Grand Bavaro.

1 and 2 are very nice and you can use all the facilities of both of them regardless of where you stay.
3. Is a step up from 1 and 2 with "Junior Suites," swim up bar etc. You can also use the facilities of 1 and 2 if you stay at 3.

4 is Adult only and VERY Nice but WELL over the OPs budget unless there's a REALLY great sale. If you stay there you can use the facilities at 1, 2 and 3.

(As a general rule if a resort has more then one hotel you can use the facilities at those that cost the same or less but not those that cost more)

We love the Bavaro, but it's not Adult Only. However, it is in the budget OP put out. WE do a week for about 1,100 a person and that's over Christmas! (not including airfare) September is cheaper, but it's also hurricane season.
