do you know if you have to pay it all at one time or can you do installments? do you recommend reaS? im an thinking getting the reservations out of the way would really help

You have to pay for REAS when you pay the final balance for the cruise.

I have never done the REAS but I do have it booked for our cruise in November - I can't wait!! I booked the REAS for a number of reasons - the first being that you can book things in advance (Palo and spa), you can choose your dining rotation, I have never had a massage (neither has DH - we are in for a treat!!), I wanted to add a little bit of romance to our cruise - even though we will have our smll kids with us!!

Hope this helps.

Lisa

My husband is not too keen on a massage, I wonder if I could get two instead? Also has anyone done this- what is the gift? Also any details on the breakfast in bed? I don't know if I could send DS off to the club at breakfast time would they bring something for him too? Do you get abottle of champane or just a glass? Details details.... :)

Hi Ann,

Yes, you can have both massages! My dh, however, was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed his massage. He only did it for me, and ended up loving it - will book one again.

Gift is a DCL photo album, box of chocolates, and bottle of champagne in a gift basket.

Champagne breakfast is a glass of the good stuff each. Both our children ate it with us, and it was a treat! We just ordered enough for all of us and tipped appropriatedly! In fact, I read about doing this on this board. I did not feel badly about this, as I do not eat much myself for breakfast.

Here are a couple of photos for you:

(Our stateroom hostess placed the bottle of bubbly with the swan/heart towel animals...you get one bottle with the package.)

I think the REAS is the deal of the century!

Best wishes!

Barbara (PS We never drank our bottle of champagne, so on the last night, we brought it to our table of ten and shared it with our dear tablemates, just a thought. We were too busy trying all the drink specialties each day, lol, so we never got to the bottle!)

Beautiful pictures...Looks good. I think I will do this. It looks like it would be good for ever planners like me and other DISers.

Is it a photo album in the gift or an autograph album?

Hmmm maybe I will do this, is the breakfast from the regular room service menu or do you get a different one. (sorry if the questions are repetitive but I have not been on for a while) You mentioned being able to choose your dining rotation and book palo/spa ahead of time how did that work?

Ann - We have this package booked for our 11/6/04 Western. I was able to make all my ressies 3 weeks ago; Palo, Brunch, High Tea, and Spa Ressies. I also requested my dining rotation and a table for 4. Those are requests only, not guarantees according to Debbie. I called Debbie directly and booked everything with her. The breakfast you get is a full breakfast, different than the regular room service. You can choose; eggs, pancakes, waffles, etc. Basically whatever is on the Lumiere's breakfast menu it seems.

I was not keen on the massage idea (like your husband). We had to book the couple's massage with the package and then change to 2 individual (for my husband-he is the one who wanted one in the first place). They were not real keen on doing them separately and it looked like it would be difficult to book 2 after boarding. They talked me into doing it.

This is the part when I am supposed to say "I LOVED IT!!!". Well, sorry, no can do. I really didn't like it. My massage gal reminded me of a dental hygienist- finding that knot in the muscle and just kept digging at it! Just painful-not relaxing. My husband loved his though.

That being said, I am really glad we booked the REAS. It was very special and we felt like total brats! We took the bubbly to Palo. It was great.

PS be careful when ordering the breakfast. When you ask for 2 eggs they bring 2 plates of eggs. Same for bacon, pancakes. We ended up with about 9 plates for 2 people. How embarrassing is that?

So what does it cost and how do I sign up? Do I contact my dreams TA or DCL themselves? How much is it in total?

Hi Ann,
It is $299...and you'll want to contact SueEllen at DU...she is their REAS person...it is a deal since the spa prices have gone up. Congrats on your recovery.

I just emailed sue ellen and hope to hear from her soon-
on a seperate note you are too kind, and yes life is good :)

Hi Ann,

We were booked via Costco, so dh did the REAS ressies on his own. Cost right now is $299.00. We've heard it may be going up. Debbie at DCL is who dh spoke with. She is a gem. Your rotation is a request, but seems we all get what we'd like. Debbie also did a complimentary reservation for the Palos brunch for us too. The first time you call, you must ask for her and leave a voice message if she is not in. She'll be sure to call you back. If you get someone who does not want to put you through, call back!

Sounds like DU does this for you, so maybe someone will come along who did it with their TA from Dreams with the details.

Best wishes, you are going to love it and you deserve it!!!

Barbara

He even said he may just do the massage with me, Tonight is our 13th anniversary and with me doing so well he was quite agreeable to whatever I wanted :) (so Suellen needs to hurry up and contact me to seal the deal before he changes his mind;)) actually he was quite cool with it, after this past year perspectives change, I would highly recommend people "seizing the day" so to speak, you never know what may hit you.

Hey Ann,
I don't see the email, but do see your request here.
Try sending me another one SueEllen@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and I'll get you all squared away! ::yes::

Is it an autograph book or a photo album that they give you???

This is the best...I am already saving extra that DH will not know about because he really wants to try the spa for a massage. I told him it was too expensive for this trip...(I make all the $$ decisions and he trust me a lot because he's not the best with money):hyper: BUT...I always have surprises for him on each trip and this is the one I chose for the Cruise as his surprise.

He is soooooo good to me and for me that I feel the need to reward him and show that I do appreciate his good nature.

On our last trip I had a surprise breakfast for him at CRT (his fav) and a trip to the citrius tower in Clermont and extra money for collectables (Star Wars that he wanted)

This package sounds just great...I can't wait to book it....Thanks for all the info.

Hurray, I am finally beginning to be excited about this cruise.
