REAS & disney visa dollars questions

(These may be stupid questions!) I have a question about the palo dinner which is included in the REAS package: how much do you tip? Also the massage & tipping--I don't want to appear cheap but want to do what is right. And those of you who have used your disney visa dollars card on the ship, do you go to guest services with it to put it on your account & if so,when, at the beginning of the cruise? Thanks to all who answer my questions!

Sorry, I can't help you with the REAS. I haven't done that yet, maybe next year. But as far as the Disney rewards card goes, I didn't go until I think it was the morning of the last day and gave it to them and asked them to use it up before going to the credit card. I had no problems.

When I called to get the card I asked and they told me any time.

My instinct is to do it earlier in the cruise to avoid any problems.

As for PALO - the surcharge that you pay is for tip of the servers (atleast what I have read). In the past I have always added a little extra depending on the service.

As far as the Reward Dollars (or Disney Dollars) you can apply them at any time at Guest Services. I would suggest adding them at the beginning on the cruise or to check you account daily. Usually when the account gets to $400 or so they will charge the credit card on file. In the past I have checked each morning and added some Disney Dollars or Reward Dollars to the account.

Thanks for the info on the Disney Reward Dollars - I was going to ask how to apply them as onboard credits but someone beat me to it!

I'm glad to know it's an easy process - I was worried that it was going to be a real pain, if you know what I mean.

Thanks so much everyone for the info! We leave for the Port on Friday--staying at the Radisson & then on to the 10 day Christmas Cruise!
