REAS - Calling DCL

Thanks for that information! I didn't realize that only certain times would
be avaliable.

I called my TA 2 weeks ago and she left me a message saying DCL will call me about two weeks prior to the cruise. I emailed her and said I had thought you could make them sooner and she called and apologized and said I was right. Im going to call on monday am for our 2/6/05 cruise. I hope they have afternoon times for our massages

Talked to Debbie a couple of weeks ago and mostly booked my April 2 REAS. Some complications since I'm not a couple. Was trying to avoid the ressie rush. Long story short I was told to go to the spa and inform them I was a single (did get the time / date set though for the massage) and they are suppose to compensate for the other part of the couple massage and change my room to a single. I'm assuming probably another treatment or that toward another treatment. Just kinda upset I'll still have to deal with the spa on the first day :guilty:

After reading Sue Ellen's posts about Debbie only having certain dates/time slots available. Does that mean it might be worthwhile to contact Debbie say 2 weeks out from your cruise and see if anything has opened up (an earlier time slot for example). perhaps by then cat 1,2, & 3 people will have been contacted for their preferred times.

I am cruising on 2/5/05. I booked the REAS package. My TA called today and he was told that he can't make advance reservation and that I would have to wait in line on the ship. I think I am getting bull****ted. One of the best reasons to book a reas package is to get advance reservations and times. I am so pissed with less 2 months to go I am starting to get angry. I have cruised many times on RCCL and NCL with far less booking issues than I have had with DCL. :badpc: :rockband: : :badpc: :badpc:

We did the REAS because I wanted to avoid the ressie rush but we would have had plenty of time anyway, I think.... we wound up having to run around anyway because our massage was scheduled for 3:30 pm when Flounders was not available, so we rushed to the spa to change our time. It got moved to 9:15 and then I called later and changed it again to 10 because I didn't want to rush through dinner. The basket was nice but nobody ever contacted us about our breakfast in bed... I didn't worry about it too much. Next time I'll just do the ressie rush because we won't have to worry about babysitting - one of us will go to Palo and the other to the spa...

Call Debbie directly. It doesn't matter whether you booked through a TA or not. HTH

I called at 840 this am and left her a message- no return phone call yet.

After reading this board I have called Debbie about my REAS package...not only was she personable but she was totally accomodating. I called before Thanksgiving for my 1/22 Cruise and she took total care of me.

I'm not sure why others weren't treated so well but I'm sure it's not my sterling personality!

Anyway, Kudos to Debbie...I felt funny calling but it was well worth it.

Merry Christmas! Michael

My Ta callede me back and said I was correct about making advance reservation. He left message for Debiie. I also called left message. I hope for a return call. pirate:

anlashokna - Can you get two massages? When I booked I distinctly asked if I could get two massages because my husband would never ever get one. The reservationist put me on hold and came back and said yes - I told her to be sure to write it in the reservation but I have a feeling I'll be getting the run around.

Honestly, the only reason I booked the REAS package is to pre-book. I need a vacation from running around and worrying about things like reservations.

Thank you SueEllen for all of your assistance!!

We've already paid for our cruise and are still considering the pkg-does anyone have a number to call to add this to an existing reservation or do you just call the cruise line number?

Spoke to Debbie live this morning  . I madee all my palo and spa reservations. She even booked my brunch request :cool1: . The only thing I couldn't find what my rotation is.

If you want add reas call debbie @ 407-566-7411 :teleport:

Guests staying in category 1, 2 & 3 can't pre-book spa treatments. We stayed in a cat 3 in May and we have one booked for January 4th. I was able to select my times for Palo's dinner and brunch with Debbie and I also put in a request for a dining rotation. We can book spa appointments with the concierge staff, but only after boarding the ship.

What Tammi has stated is true; however, Concierge onboard (just like Debbie) only has certain days/times available. Found this out on our first cruise. HTH

Hi all!

Just wanted to let you know that I had called Debbie and left a message. She never returned the call so I called her back. She answered and took very good care of us. We got everything we wanted. She was truly wonderful.

Happy Holidays!

Could someone give me an idea of what the spa "times" are? What time do they open and is it difficult to get mornings?

Also, Can you book Palo for your first night?

When I talked to Debbie @ DCL times were not an issue for our sailing. Morning were available but there were more afternoon times. It seemed there were more mornings on port days.

The best bet is to call with a day in mind versus a time. Be flexible. From my understanding at sea days book up faster for spa reservations.

I'm not sure on Palo being open on departure day. Anyone know? I did it on formal night just to kill two birds with one stone (attire) .
