I know its personal preference but I need enough feedback on the boards to help me decide. I need all thoughts, good and bad.

My story:
I really wanted to stay at the BC, but for the money and the horrible bus service I dont really know if I wanna deal with it. I get aggravated easily! lol. We have done CBR...not impressed, and FQ, which we liked, but the pool sucked, and POR, which was nice, but the buses there too we found to be pretty aggravating. I had originally decided to do CSR this time, but am torn because ppl are saying its not really "disney.' Sooooo....now IM back thinking we should do POR and stay in a Royal Room. I know ppl are gonna say to go with what best suits our needs and wants, but the point of my post is to gather thoughts from others to HELP me figure out what best suits our needs and wants.

So...the breakdown is:

1.) I wanna stay at BC but too expensive to have to deal with bus issues
2.) Wanted to try something new as far as a mod goes if we do a mod
3.) POR transporation was crappy too, but maybe if we get a royal room it will add enough pizzazz to our stay to compensate for bus issues, even tho we have stayed here before and I wanted something new
4.) Outside of the royal room, I like POFQ better outta the PO resorts. but no roayl rooms there, so its the same old same old if we go there.

please give me some things to think about so I can decide.

Hmmmmmm....I will say that I've never had problems with the busses, but to each his own. That being said, are you going to have park hoppers? Because if so, then technically if you stay at BC you're really only going to need to use the bus for AKL and DTD (and let's be honest, I believe the busses to/from DTD are notoriously the worst, no matter what the resort). At BC, you can walk or boat to Epcot and DHS, and you could technically take the monorail from Epcot to MK (that's what we are planning on doing as we have hoppers and will have our meals at WS and then monorail over to MK) :goodvibes

We had no transportation issue at POR. Well maybe a few waits here and there. But honestly they were no better or worse than any of the deluxe stays we've had.
CSR was the same.
I love the landscaping and atmosphere of POR but I don't find it any more "Disney" than CSR. They both have little touches here and there in that regard.

So I would pick the theme you like best. We liked CSR to go back a second time and liked POR enough that we plan to go there again too. I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I've never had transportation issues at BC or POR. Haven't stayed at CSR, it's a personal pref. what appeals to you.

Our fav Moderate is POR.

My suggestion, is if WDW transportation bothers you have you thought of renting a car? It may be less frustrating for you.

I wouldnt say POR has more of a disney feel than CS.

I would choose something different this time around....why not try CS for a change? You just might love it! Never know. ;)

Thanks for the responses so far. To answer a few questions, no, we dont' do park hoppers. WE have just found in the past that we dont really do a lot of hopping. It would be nice to have them, but they are def not needed and not worth the price for us. However, I will say, that if we stayed at BC, I might really want the hoppers since we are walking distance to Epcot and HS. We may come home early from a park and want to walk over to epcot just to have dinner or dessert or catch illuminations. Any other resort, I really dont think we would use a hopper, unless we stayed at a monorail resort, which we arent doing.

Also, we wil have our car with us. WE always drive, as we are only coming down from NC. I never really thought about driving to a park. I guess because the parking can get expensive. While the buses can be aggravating, they are free, or at least Ive already paid for them in my package. I just hate to incur more expenses by paying for parking everywhere.

Lastly, if we do POR, we are going to book a royal room, which I feel will def have more of a disney feel to it than CSR or any other mod. Thats the only reason IM thining of going back to a resort we already stayed in, instead of trying something new.

Keep the comments coming though, theyre very helpful:)

LOL!!! We are having the same dilemma! I have booked at CSR...but my DD really wants to stay at the POR for the Royal rooms. Torn on if we should switch or not! I like CSR...stayed there last time...so not knowing if I want to switch! The comments are helpful for me too!

Good news!!! Parking is free for resort guest.

We flew our first year so only used Disney transportation. No complaints really. We drove last year and after two days of Disney buses, we started driving. So much better! No lines to stand in, no more being packed into a crowded bus. Loved it! That should solve your transportation issue so you can stay wherever you want. :)

For what it's worth, we have stayed at CSR and loved it. Beautiful resort. I know some complain because they say it's not Disney enough, but we found it relaxing after a day immersed in theme parks. We stayed at an All Star resort last year and it was fun, but we almost found it to be too much. This year we are staying at POR. Looking forward to it.
