$324 for one night , mid week early March?

DVC owners first time at US......wow, that's a lot of $$$ for an average looking room.

Suggestions for finding a lower rate, anyone:confused3

rates increase in the period of spring break.

discounted rates have not come out yet.

the AP rates are only out thru parts of december right now.

keep checking the reservation site and these boards.
something might come up.

look at last years date and rate thread to get an idea of what rates have been in the past for your time frame.

Looks like a conference or something is pre-booked there since there aren't any standard rooms left. I compared it to Boardwalk and Beach Club which are going for $477 that same night....so it really is competitively priced. Remember that the Universal Hotels are all deluxe hotels within walking distance of the parks and you receive unlimited express pass access for the day you arrive and the day you leave.

However, there is a PIN code out for fall dates that have people getting the RPR for $140/night.

I suggest you sign up at www.universalorlando.com and hope to get a PIN for the spring.

Thanks for the info.
I will sign up and hope the rates come down.
I know there are perks for staying on site, which is why I want to.
I know there are much cheaper rates out there for other dates and was hoping to get something more reasonable.
I didn't realize that rate was not a standard room.
As we are not planning to be in the room much, I'm not looking for luxury.
Anything less than $300 would be good;)

Also, your CAA will get you 10% off. It won't show up if you are looking online, but if you call, you should be able to get it. It might not be available yet. Loews does have a toll free number, so you could always give them a call to see if the CAA rates are out yet and what they might be for that date. I'm not sure why rates are quite high for that week...perhaps just because it is March. It looks like rates are pretty low until Family Day and then they jump quite a bit.

Here's the number for the Loews Orlando Hotels... 1-888-464-3617
