Really stupid sunrise safari question

I know they say there is no such think as a stupid question, but I think this would qualify, since I am sure I already know the answer.

I know that I will need to stay on the concierge level at AKL, but my question is;

In order to do the Sunrise Safari do they take a day off of your hopper pass in addition to the tour fee?

Hi there.. yes indeeed you do require admission to the park and they check this before departure.... it will count as a day on your park hopper...

But it is such fun!
