Really Stupid Question

ok guys, this may sound liek a really really really stupid question, so here goes nothing:

I'm assuming on the CP you get paid by check... but do you sign up for automatic deposit... or how do you get your money. Is there a bunch of banks that the busses go to if you don't have a car / do places down there accept out of state checks? I'm just confused as to how that all works. :confused:

Now that I'm embarassed that I asked a question like that, I'll let you pros answer:)

You have the option of either collecting checks each Thursday, or using direct deposit. I highly recommend the latter, it's so much easier.

If not, you have a couple options. If you open an account at Partners Federal Credit, there's branches both at Disney University (A Bus to MK) and on I-Drive (a short walk from Chatham/Patterson or on the H Bus route) that will allow you to cash your check. You can also cash your check for a small fee at Walmart ($3, if I remember correctly).
 
plain and simple. If you don't use direct deposit, then you will have to expect to take the bus from your apartment to MK. Then Take the bus from the parking lot into the MK. Go through the tunnels and get your check. You then have to take the bus back to the parking lot and will probably have to wait for the bus that goes back to your apartment.... Then you will have to hop on the Wal-mart, walk to Publix, or how ever you cash your check.. I strongly suggest you set up direct deposit. (this is worse/common case)

I worked at MK and even had a car, and I still got frustrated having to deal with the MK bus.. Its not fun when your in a rush.

No. If you set up a Partners Federal Credit account, Disney should automatically set up the details for you within about two-three weeks of your arrival. If you're using an external account, be sure to have your account and routing numbers- you'll need to input them to the company's portal once you arrive (or later, but keep in mind that this process also takes two weeks to take effect).
 
this is slightly off topic, but anyone know where in the hub to try and change the direct deposit info. I thought I did but am having the hardest time getting it to load on my computer. Or is it simply only something that can e changed on property...I wouldn't see why they would restrict it though...i dunno
