Looking for a CS location

1) in the Magic Kingdom
2) that serves relatively healthy food

I am not a health nut by ANY means, but we are going to MNSSHP the night before the Wine & Dine Half Marathon, and I don't want to eat a burger or chicken fingers if I can help it. We have lunch reservations at Tutto Italia for lunch the next day.

As mentioned above, Cosmic Rays offers salads. I ate one there last trip, not great by any means, but it's a quick meal that I didn't want weighing me down.

Also, if you PM me I can give you a site that offers menus for every restaurant in WDW. Not only do they have the menu items, they have the prices listed.:goodvibes

If it's open the Noodle Terrace has great healthy options. They have noodle bowls, sushi, and other asian dishes with lots of veggies. It is by far my favorite CS at MK!

Definitely Columbia Harbor House! As mentioned above the Anchors Aweigh Tuna Sandwich & the Lighthouse broccoli slaw & hummus sandiwch are cool, light & refreshing.

I would suggest fruits and veggies from the stands you see around the park as lunch. Maybe you could split a sandwich from Columbia Harbor House if need be.

Thanks, but I'm talking about dinner the night of the party, not lunch the day of the HM.

Cosmic Ray's has rotisserie chicken, served with green beans & potatoes. Maybe not health food but better than burgers & fries. There's enough there to share, making it even "healthier"!

You could also try the taco salad at Pecos Bills. They give you the meat in a taco shell bowl then you add all the lettuce, tomato, sauteed onions or mushrooms, salsa and whatever else you like at the fixins bar. Based on all the responses, I think you truly will find something healthy on menus all over the park (except Casey's, that's all hot dogs, corn dogs and fries!). Just go to whichever CS is most conveniently located when you're hungry! They all offer a salad, and you can always sub fruit or carrot sticks for a dessert if you're on the dining plan.

You'll find all the quick service location menus for the Magic Kingdom in the search here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm

Hello fellow Marathoner!!! I'll be there for the Wine & Dine half too:goodvibes This is my first half marathon so I'm worried about what I should and shouldn't eat. We'll be at MK the day of the race (leaving around 4:30) and I have lunch reservations at The Plaza.
Cosmic Rays would probably be your best bet for dinner with the chicken and vegetables. Although, I'm running with Team in Training Louisiana and they're having a big pasta dinner for us the night before so I guess I'll be carb loading:idea:

I'm in the same position as you. First half, no idea how to eat. ;-)

The day of the race, we're eating EPCOT's Tutto Italia for lunch, and home-bought protein bars for dinner. I don't want anything in my stomach come race time. the MK meal I"m talking about is the night before.

Sounds like a good option. I like Cosmic Rays, lots of different options

Have fun and good luck with the race!:cool1:
