Just received 2 bad reports on the motel I reserved. thought I'd try this forum. can anyone please tell me of their experience at days suites at old town? Thank-you

I've stayed at Days Suites numerous times. It was acceptable for the price and the size. It is just basic accomodations. Nothing fancy about it. Just try not to get a room that backs up to Old Town as it can be noisey. I have since discovered condo's and rental houses when I need extra room. And the price to rent a condo is not much more than the Days Suites.

We spent a week at Days Suites Old Town in November 2002. We had a huge 1 bedroom suite for $39.95/nite. The living room was very large with sofa, chairs, small table, TV, dresser and Murphy bed. Kitchen was bright, full size fridge/freezer, microwave, stovetop, sink, dishwasher, table and chairs for 4. Bedroom had 2 double beds, large closet, safe, sink and mirror with large countertop. Bathroom was typical size.

Here are photos from our stay:

I think the place was perfectly fine. Nothing fancy, but what do you expect at that price? I loved being right across the street from Old Town as we went there a few times. Flippers has great pizza, by the way.

Noise was not a problem as I requested a suite facing away from Old Town (we were in J-1330). The only minor problem was parking got a little tight on Friday and Saturday nite as Old Town visitors parked on the hotel lot, but that was really only a minor inconvenience.

As Bonnie said, it is possible to get a condo for not a lot more than Days Suites, but you can't beat their price for what they give you. I would happily stay there again - in fact, we might stay there this November when we go.

Did you book the Days Suites or the Day's Inn? Your title to the thread is confusing. There is both right at Old Town???

I booked days suites. Thinking about canceling and finding something else though not sure. got more homework to do.

This won't be what you wanted to hear but I cried when we pulled up and went in. We had a blanket in the car and I had to put it on the couch before I would sit down. The living room area was very worn. The bedroom area was not bad as was the kitchen. Pool area was awful. Sorry.

I just canceled my reservation for the Days Inn and Suites after reading some of the reviews... although, I see that some people didn't have any problems....

Anyway, I did just book the Tropical Palms Cottage for $59per night... so for just a litle more, I feel much more comfortable given the great reviews this place received...

Good luck!

Just curious how long ago this was. As I said, we were there 11/02 and the place was just fine.

Just to be clear, Days Inn and Days Suites are 2 seperate properties. My comments are regarding Days Suites.

We stayed there in 2000. Maybe in their defence they have updated and cleaned. I am only giving my opinion and we may have just been in a bad section but I do know how a lousy room can put a cloud on any vacation.
