Really ODD perfume scents!

Has anyone ever tried perfume by Demeter? http://www.demeterfragrance.com/default.aspx

They have some of the oddest scents I've ever seen (earthworm? SUSHI? )

I found a few I'd like to have, and I'm wondering how true-to-life the scents are.

Wow! I've never heard of this brand before. I wonder where you could sample some of the fragrances?? It looks pretty reasonably priced to me too.

I have quite a few of their scents ( none of the really out there ones, though! ). My favoites are caramel, sugar cookie, mojito, and fresh laundry. There is another line of fragrances that I love and always get asked what I'm wearing. It's Comptoir Sud de Pacifique. Most of their fragrances are vanilla based. My favorites are vanilla coco and vanilla pineapple

I used to work in Ulta and we sold these fragrances. Some are really yummy smelling like Cosmopolitan, and Orange Creme Pop. Some...I have no idea who would want to wear it. Dirt? Grass? Turpentine? Tomato? Lobster? Dust? Seriously...ew...and those are only the top of the barrel. And yes, they smell just like what they say. I remember when we first got them in and everyone saw the Dirt...of course we had to smell it. Yep...it smelled like dirt alright. For the life of me, I cannot figure out who would want to smell like dirt.

I love Demeters! My favourite one is Funeral Home - which smells like flowers, NOT rotting flesh and embalming fluid! I also rather like Pipe Tobacco, Holy Water, and some of the rain scents.

The only one I've ever really disliked was Mildew. That was most unpleasant.

I LOOOVVEEE the Gin & Tonic and Sugar Cookie. I'm also a fan of Grass and Fresh Laundry. They smell fresh and clean. I typically don't like the kind of fakey smells of most perfumes. These are great for me. There was a company called "Smell This" that made an iced tea scent that I wore every day for a while. I got great compliments on it.

Tomatoes, Sushi and Dirt are not on my list of favorites, but I've never smelled them on anyone. They may smell different on someone else.

It smells like rice and seaweed, with a touch of ginger and lemon (according to the description). I think I'd still be afraid I smelled like a hunk of tuna.

Demeter fragrances are VERY true to life. I first ran across them at the Cooper Hewitt Museum in NYC about 4 years ago. Cooper Hewitt is a museum of design, and Demeter was being shown there for their minimalist bottle designs. Several of their fragrances were on display -- I distinctly remember Dirt, Tomato Seed, and Angel Food Cake, and they all smelled EXACTLY like what they were supposed to. The fragrances are also surprisingly inexpensive -- ~$15 last I checked.

What does Holy Water smell like? As far as I know holy water you find in church doesn't have a smell, or does it?

Why the heck would someone want to buy a mildew scent??
